We are finally signing papers! Everything should be set in stone over the next few weeks, and then we’ll be able to move in. Even though I am not able to show the empty home quite yet, I hope to show you very soon, and perhaps you guys can give me some decorating ideas. I have never had more than one room, so it’ll be a wonderful place for us and our future family. It’s so great to have the opportunity to afford a reasonably priced home, as they are hard to come by in this area. Luke’s parents are to thank for that, and their kindness to us. BIG changes coming next week! I can’t beIieve it!

I am a 62 yr old man that stumbled upon your channel. I'm not much on drama so I was suprised . You held my attention very quickly in your crafts and describing your life and daily routines. ( Strange little lady ) you say ! I say talented , sincere , inquisitive ,honest and down to earth. Don't see that much these days in people especially folks your age. As we age (I’m 65) it’s such a pleasure when young people allow us to share all their exciting “firsts,” and a new home is huge. I applaud you for leaving Luke and his dad to the construction. There will be more than enough for you to do to turn the house they build into a home for the two of you, and hopefully children. Thirdly, good for you for reupholstering Luke’s old sofa! Any human abused and remains loyal to their abuser is TOTALLY DYSFUNCTIONAL. It's contraire to one of life's most important principals and that is, you reap what you sow. I love watching your story unfolding! So excited you will be moving into a new home and getting married. I had a traditional home in Seattle for 23 years and for most of the 35 years loved it but the city was no longer magical for me. I retired, sold my house in West Seattle and had a tiny home (225 square feet) built in 2016. My tiny home is 35 miles southeast of Seattle on an 11 acre hobby farm. There are 3 other tiny homes out here. I go to sleep to the sound of frogs and wake up to the moos of cows and chickens announcing to the world they laid an egg. I share my house with 3 rescue cats (they have a 20-foot catwalk that is 13 feet high) and a sweet schiperkee Hunter. This grandma is so happy and content with my simple life. I appreciate the beautiful view of Mount Rainer I have from my deck. What I love about your veido's is that you elevate the joys of simple living....Thank You!!! Happy new home and wedding!!!

After my mom passed, I reupholstered her couch and just used the old fabric as my patterns. I didn’t have anyone to help me so I just took my time and figured it out as I went along. It actually turned out great and I would love to do it again. Beautiful video as always!

I can't imagine that you would ever run out of decorating ideas! When I first married, my husband and I were in college and very poor and I used wedding gifts for decorations. Five years later when I purchased my first small piece of art and hung it on the wall, I was ecstatic. I had no idea how truly wonderful it would feel to decorate with something that expressed me and what I love. Since then I've only decorated with things that are truly meaningful to me and while my husband was alive, taking him into consideration too. Though I will say I felt very fortunate that he didn't have many opinions on the matter and I got to do what I loved. Your home will evolve gorgeously with your creations and I wish you all the best! How exciting!

I have always dreamed of owning a house surrounded by trees. The woods are home to so many beautiful creatures. I live on a busy street with other tenants above me so I can appreciate the peace you will have. I think my favorite thing about that type of landscape is the silence in the winter when the snow falls and gently covers everything and the air smells so crisp and clean. ❤ Enjoy decorating your new home...it is an art and truly one you succeed at. First of all Paola I was mesmerized watching you make the woodblock art of the whimsical rabbit. It turned out absolutely beautiful. If you ever consider making prints of it for your Etsy shop I would buy it in a heartbeat as I have a special place in my heart for rabbits. (having had one for 10 plus years) I also loved seeing the renovations to your new house. Its all so exciting and I am so happy for you and Luke. I know you will make it even more cozy and beautiful with your talent for painting and finding such lovely things in second hand stores. It is an adventure in itself just looking in second hand stores and a lot of fun. I agree about furniture. So expensive and if you can reupholster a couch then it is a great thing. Paola, enjoy your Abuela! Some of my fondest memories are of my Abuelo coming to visit from Puerto Rico! Well into his 90’s he was a “jack of all trades” and loved nothing better than to help his Nieta with house projects! Your new home has character already. I knew you would get it because it suited so well. I know it will be a home of warmth, love and comfort. Congratulations to you both. I laughed when you mentioned your fairies faces in your artwork because I follow two other you tubers who posted the opening of their Cottage Fairy artworks. My first thought was that they looked as though they were a little in awe of the artist. I am a teacher too and so they inspire me. I have three pet bunnies, a fat hen, a tiny dog, and two foster stray kittens at my tiny home homestead in Africa. The children I teach would have little exposure to animals as pets, and now have a different attitude toward creatures they meet. Thankyou for sharing so many wonderful creative ideas too.

It's beauty continues to impress me. By the way, I know you'll love the pine trees, among the most welcoming & the friendliest of ALL the evergreens, at your new place. Sequoia's massive towering personalities can be overwhelming & certain spruces are sometimes known to put on airs, particularly the more elitish dwarf varieties, but pine trees' aw shucks I don't mind at all where I grow attitude along with their consistently quiet, almost silent, personal warmth will make them easy, enjoyable, & relaxing companions for you to walk among any time of day. I have studied metaphysics for many years and even took a Childhood 1 class in 2013 to work with the Star children (children with autism) and was amazed by them. Please do not pay attention to labels. Let people who you trust know how very gifted all of you are. Your reasons for how you create your fairies expressions is not “weird.” You are the creative. You alone have the vision. Personally, I find your reasons charming. You have a wonderful, creative, sensitive side. I think that comes out in your work. We apologize or feel obligated to try to explain ourselves when it really isn’t necessary. I struggle with this, but a, getting better at not doing it. It doesn’t have to be rude. Just smile. You are unique. That’s why your channel is successful. Your channel gifts us with a sense of serenity and beauty which counteracts some of the negativity and evil in the world. You stand out from the crowd. And that can be a very positive thing. Oh Paula, it was wonderful to see your new home and how the renos are coming along. I too am very frightened of power tools particularly the kind with sharp blades! Gulp! Absolutely! I've had so many friends remark on my home and wonder where I got the things in it. They seem both surprised and disappointed when I tell them that everything was acquired slowly over time. So many of my younger friends are so anxious to purchase everything all at once that they forget that means their home only reflects who they are in that specific moment. While I can look around and see how my home evolved with me over time.

Although I live in a neighborhood that was clear cut for homes many decades ago, there are wonderful old families of Douglas Firs clustered on our property and throughout the beautiful view to the Salish Sea. I'm aware that I'm a visiting soul on their land, deeply grateful for their wise presence and graceful beauty. They are all dear friends. We have a seedling in our backyard family of firs and checking on this young sprout brings me joy. I like to imagine that one extra tall abundant fir is the Grandmother, feeding and watching over her loved ones. Maybe over time they will tell me their names. Returning all my love and hopes of a wonderful day to you.

I love that your abuela is going to help you reupholster the couch, so that your relationship with her will be built into the fabric of your new home - for me, the things that make my house into a home are things that are made by, given by or inherited from family & friends. Sitting in the midst of these, I feel surrounded by those I love, even when I am alone.

You don't have a strange mind. We usually see artwork subjects as what they would look like if we could see them without them knowing we are there. Like we are the hidden camera watching them. But you draw your fairies as if you were actually interacting with them. Like you are a part of their story. How special and truly brings the fairies to life. I love it
