If there is anything I've learned from being on the road, it's that nothing goes as planned. Join us to save this little ducking and bring her to a new home! IG: @linnea.and.akela
I think the fact that you BOTH felt the 4 hours to Jess was worth it says a lot about you as humans and as a couple. Love you two! You really are such genuine and amazing human beings!
This is hands down my fav vlog of yours! What kindness you showed to go back the way you came to make sure you found Rocky a safe home! It was sad that they got dumped but Rocky met you and Chris for a reason. You saved its life! Beautiful end to this story. :)
It's very common for people to get ducks for Easter and when they realize how messy they are they Dump them in a lake or stream. When it gets older if it has a Curly feather on the tail and a quiet quack it's a boy, loud quack is a girl. Plus ducks live for 8 to 12 years, they have lots of personality and they lay a lot of eggs, but they love mud! I have two rescues who were abandoned due to people not realizing how much work they are.
I have watched your videos for months now and I’m not a huge commenter on videos in general. This just touched my heart so much with you helping Rocky!! I cried because ducks are so very special. My daughter incubated a Peking duck egg at school years back and took it upon herself to bring the duckling home. So I became a duck Mama to one of the best pets I have ever had, her name was Moe. She stayed in the house with us until she was too big and then moved outside. She was literally one of the best pets I have ever had in my whole life. She swam with the kids in a blow up pool, would follow you around like a dog, and was so loving and very smart! Thank you so much for being so kind. This touched my heart. ❤❤
I literally saved a baby duck or goose with no mother to be found just a couple weeks ago. Ended up calling a friend that has baby chickens and she came straight out and picked it up and happy to report it's doing great in its newfound life with the chickens and kids on the land it's on. If anyone is interested in hearing more details and seeing pictures I have a Community post of it on my channel.
Only you and Chris. This just cracks me up. You two are so sweet and fun to watch. I wish little Rocky the best!!! Maybe you guys didn’t need this but I did. A dear friend that I used to work with for over 20 years passed away this past Sunday, Mother’s Day. So this little Rocky was so good for me. ❤️❤️
You are a beautiful soul. Even greater than your outer beauty (which is so special considering you don't do all the makeup/glam things) is your inner beauty. Watching your videos brings me joy, so thank you for that.
What the hell is wrong with people, dumping little baby ducks? Sometimes people really suck. Luckily you guys and your friend have restored my faith in humanity. I’m so glad Rocky has a loving home with siblings and other animal friends. Great job guys. ❤❤❤
Caring and being compassionate is the key to life. Any form of life is here for a purpose or a reason. I respect you emencely. All I can say is thank you for doing what you did Every human should be this way 🙏
Love - Love - Love , this video. It shows who you truly are, (a fantastic soul) to figure out his sidekick was missing, to see that he was worried, to make phone calls and try to find him a safe place. To make the 4 hours trek so he / she is in safe hands. We are here on earth - to protect them. Great job you both ***** from beautiful So Cal - specifically South Orange County - Laguna Beach, Dana Point , San Clemente
Aww. Rocky’s so cute. I think she is female bc males usually have bright colors, unless the colors develop as they age a bit. Linnea, thanks to you & Chris for saving little Rocky’s life. Lots of Love, ~Marirose NH USA 💛🌀🌟
Thank you for saving the baby! I love those cute little mess makers! But… chris is a keeper for sure! My hubs would never do that for a duck! A puppy…… maybe…
When I heard that ducks are dumped after Easter, I grew sad, I'm betting there were more than two discarded there, thats why all the feed. Those heartless creeps! You two did a sweet thing saving her.
I am president of a small animal rescue in California and can attest - Easter and Christmas "gifts" get dumped like crazy. Domestic bunnies abound here in one of the parks after someone decided to dump theirs. It's so sad because domestic animals (in my experience) rarely survive. So amazing to see the work you two put in to save this baby. Thank you for loving Rocky and getting her safe.
I would like to believe that good souls gravitate towards eachother. Animal or human. I am so glad Rocky's path crossed with all of you and all is well once again for her. Blessings your way! xoxoxo
That did it. You are my favorite...whatever. It doesn't matter. You are my favorite. Thank you for doing this cool thing. Someone probably got them for their kids for Easter and here they are.
Linnea, you and Chris are just awesome!! Rocky was so dang adorable ❤. Don't worry about filming the family time. Have fun. Waiting for some of the cooking videos I've seen on the shorts and IG. Have a awesome week!!
I love this video. ❤️ The day that Linnea became momma duck and Chris became daddy duck. True love.🥰 Jess is so kind to give Rocky a home. Getting two more baby ducks was just what Rocky needed. May they all live long and prosper.🙏
That’s so sweet! At first I was thinking “no way , you guys you can’t keep a duck in your Van” poop everywhere! No water tub🤣 thank you for taking care of that lil boo! ❤❤❤🎉😊
Totally know what you mean about everyone trying to get you to sleep in their house instead of your van. It is always funny to me how many people don’t seem to realise how much more comfortable my van is to me than their guest room.
Linnea - you and Chris need to co-author a book about Rocky!! It would make a great story! And I just heard Chris and the title should be “Rocky - One Lucky Duck”!
Love you guys and your compassion for wildlife, being a lover of nature and wildlife I probably would have done the same thing! Thanks for saving and finding him a new home! You both are awesome!🦆🦆
OMG i just love you guys soooooo much more than ever you are the most amazing couple ,this just enforces the love you both have for each other your definately soul mates annd this little duckling has just proven that CONGATULATIONS your both GODS ANGLES doing his work on earth 🥰🥰🥰🥰 lots of love to you Five from me V from Western Australia the land Down Under 😇🥰
What an amazing video. It’s wonderful to see so much integrity going into little duck’s well-being. These are the things that will help shift the values we share collectively towards all living things. My heart is happy this morning after watching you guys save little Rocky.😊
What a great story! Touching and hysterical at the same time. I think my partner and I would have done that maybe not four hours backwards but we would have taken Rocky to safety for sure. I hope Jess sends updates and you share them. You guys are the best!
You two are awesome saving that little duckling. Jess seems great also and from what I could see of her cabin it’s beautiful. I loved this video. Have a wonderful time with your family!🦆❤️
I love that you went so far for this tiny squawker! It is so sad that people think that are disposable. And even so....why they think. they can just drop them off...when there are rescues/shelters. Thank you for sharing!
She was meant to find you. Love that you changed plans to get her to a safe home. What a gift. More people need to find this love and compassion within them and let it out. The crazy in the world would dissipate. Animals make this world better. Being someone in animal rescue, this absolutely made my day! Baby duck is imprinting with you.:) your friends place is amazing.
Of course you drove 8 hours to save a duck. I can only speak for myself, but I imagine I and most of your subscribers would also. Because just look at her! How could you not? 🙂
I love you guys so much. What AWESOME humans you both are!!! This was such a sweet video so glad you where able to find her a forever home. Thank you so much to Jess.
I love this so much. Thank you for helping adorable Rocky (Rockie?). This was a joy to watch! I’m sorry this unfortunate situation happened in TN (where I live). I think people do similar with bunnies, and it’s sickening. I feel like there’s always a reason for the detours in life, though. You are where you are for a reason. ❤
Oh my gosh how adorable. U guys have the biggest hearts . I wish there were more people like U Out There. Thanks for sharing this with Us Guys . Mucho Love From Your Friend In Michigan Tam 💜💜
I’ve rescued three pigeons in my life. One I nurtured back to health (when I was 16) and the other two I was able to bring to a Wildlife Rescue Center. So grateful for Wildlife Rescue Centers.
Be proud you guys are the kind of people that will do that. I live in the south where a lot is people do not give a shit about animals. It’s infuriating. Thank you for being a good human beings
What a great story. Yes, ducks poop a lot. When I stay with people I prefer the van. Usually people are ok with me being in the drive. Thanks for being beautiful humans.
Nothing cuter than a baby duck. I hatched baby chickens from eggs under heatlamps to get the imprinting effect as a kid, went on to show in 4-H fair competitions. Was really embarrassing when I fanned the feathers out for the judges and there weren't any,😮 because my dad had caught her trying to fly over the fence the day before and didn’t tell me. Rocky made a nice adventure for you guys, glad you were both up for it. Seriously, don't know another man who would be. Rocky isn't the only lucky duck. You guys are awesome. Anyway, girl, thanks for another nice day with you.
That was so sweet. I'm glad you found a safe place for Rocky. This would be a great story for a childrens book.😊 Even the part about her being a poor little Easter duck.😢❤❤❤🐾❤🐾❤
😀😇 LOVED IT! Chaos at its BEST! I HAD to LOL at Rocky the quacker KNEW WHO TO GO TO! ALL the BEST and thanks so much for all you do and share! Enjoy your Family and safe travels ! CHEERS!!!! :)
Love this episode! Starting out with the sigh, which got me laughing, what is next to expect? Apart from rescuing an overcute duckling, isn't this life at it's best?! Guided by one's compassion, surrendering mind's timetables and letting oneself be charmed by a little creature and the preciousness of life. It's a Gift!!
What a heart warming story, thanks to both of your compassionate hearts. I rescue animals. 33 years ago I was at AG DAY and was shocked to find out that the babychicks for the kids to hold would be destroyed at the end of the day. My heart was broken, I even offered to buy them they refused to sell them to me. They said they would die anyways. Still makes me sick. Thank you for bringing this situation to people's attention. Great video as always
Every video you do is a fun video, so don't sweat it. You two are just about the coolest people I've ever met. I'm on the road soon and may miss following you for awhile. Sad face here. Best of luck you two with everything. You've helped me so much, i appreciate it. Especially with building my van, couldn't have done it without you. Oh! Installing a water pump for the sink is easy schmeezy. The guy on Ourkaravan set up a perfect, simple system.
❤this video was so heartwarming, you saved Rocky and had a wonderful friend that would take him plus get other duck siblings.❤️❤️ you all are remarkable and kind ❤️❤️🙏
What a very cute duck she loves u already! U both are very kind to save her/him who has separation anxiety. Jess is a true animal lover, what an amazing property & house! 😍
Glad to see you and Akela back together again!! Missed your weekly videos but understandable that life gets in the way of well intentioned plans!! Glad you're feeling better mentally!! Look forward to your future videos!! 😊
