I love the pet bass!!! get a cheap fountain pump to circulate the water bud, also the end of this video really enabled your viewers to see your vision and that this isn't all just a game. my favorite video so far altho i love Peric..he's my fav! :)
I should have guessed you would have shown up here ;P Jon b. You gotta listen to this guy, he has a 6lb bass named Shamu i that he's trained to eat from his hand. It's fucking awesome.
This would be great if you had a filter and a hard body kiddy pool. You can probably get both with relative ease. If you guys do this, the bass will be happy and healthy. Can't wait for him to grow up w/ you guys!
Hey Jon for a fishing rod would be awesome to have a longer ultra light single pieces fishing rod. I am a big advocate for ultra light as just provides more fun for catching fish. Would be awesome to somehow make a Ultra Light Rod that could support a smaller bait caster that can run 2lbs or 4lb test. May be a dream but keep up the good work bud.
GDawg Titan Yeah I made one with a bunch of layered shower curtains and it's been a couple years and IT'S FINE!!! Don't break ice with it though, it will rip...
they could make a small one right in their backyard. Good enough size if they use like 85% of their backyard to make one or even just get a big inflatable pool. Like big big.
LittleCuz R u kidding me? How old are you? It is completely different from a small pond in every way! The pool is very shallow and very small, it will heat up quicker and reach alot higher temp than a small pond will. If you took that pool and placed it right next to a small pond under the same Texas sun, the pool water would reach a much higher temp. it's just physics man
The only problem with keeping a fish temporary is that it becomes dependent on you and when u release it, it might not eat and starve to death. You guys should get a permanent pond.
It shouldn't get dependent on them. Im assuming they will feed it goldfish or shad or something. Its instincts wont go away as it will still have to chase and attack its prey. They wont be feeding it pellets I dont think.
I heard about 3 months ago that a prominent youtuber would be cut loose from shimano's pro staff. Due to breach of contract...featuring other brands. I wonder if this is what they were referencing.
Jon, people who don't own a truck will understand my pain. There needs to be a better selection of 2 piece bait caster rods. I drive a versa and one piece rods just don't fit!
Jon, I think the switch to favorite is going to be an amazing opportunity for you! I got to meet you at a shimano event this year at the Classic, and it was a good opportunity. Favorite seems like it's a better fit for you, and I would love to see some RIGGED rods. Thanks for always being dope
Won't survive in that small pool. I have pond with some descent sized koi and I suggest building a simple obverse ground pond in the corner of you yard.you would be able to control the depth and water flow. I know you are possibly renting this house and I don't want to go and research if you are but if it's possible try and do it. It would be a cool project and make for some cool videos.
Please make a "How stupid are fish?" challenge. Where you try to catch fish with things like a leaf with a hook (which I've done before) or a toy doll bait or a hot wheels. something like that.
I love your channel but I need to tell you some information you may not particularly enjoy. You absolutely cannot release that fish back into the wild after he has become established in your aquarium. He can contract diseases that he would therefore introduce into the water ways you release him to. I believe there is also a law regarding this as it can lead to destruction of the environment you release him to. I am all for you having a pet bass! But it would be a poor idea to release him into the wild. I hope you get time to view this comment as it can help protect the fishing environments we all love!
namrehsifjn 1rod left for his own reasons. And he has had nothing bad to say about the googans. And same for the googans about 1 rod. He stayed home because he has his reasons. Don't hate on him for that man
Jon b. keep it up man!! I respect you for explaining Shimano, Fav. situation. you didn't have to but you did! your one of the top five RU-vidrs for sure man. My favorite!! I live in Birmingham, AL. So ever in town hit m up. we can go hook some Bama large mouth!!!
North Georgia Anglers i whole heartedly second this. fished on a boat for the first time in a loooooooooong time today and every time we moved I died a little thinking my Defender was gonna flip overboard.
XxBLADEXx SHOTXx all I saw was a couple branches... Those branches can grow mold and fungi which can also kill the fish since it was just snapped off. It also can have had pesticides in it due to it being on their lawn. We will see if it is still alive in a couple days. Hopefully it is but whatever.
Personally I feel that if you are putting the little back into the wild why take him from it? Although it's a fish you have to make sure everything is right, I don't think keeping him alone is a good idea he can become sick. Now that you have taken the fish away from the wild it might not serve if you put him back. He'll get use to you feeding meaning he could lose his ability to go find food himself. I wouldn't ever take any type of animal away from the wild, from there home.
i mean there's just no source of oxygen into the water so eventually he's going to run out but theoretically u could just add water every day for re oxygenate the water
Frankie Ortiz didn't you see the air hose in there. I've seen them live good like that I've seen fish live in a dryed up ditch. but he's got the bubbles going it will hofully never fine.
Frankie Ortiz Yeah, seriously, this fish needs a filter, too. The filter will not only help to filter out large waste particles but it will also provide a habitat for all of the bacteria associated with the nitrogen cycle. The nitrogen cycle is basically where you grow benficial bacteria. Fish waste is high in ammonia, which is toxic. Therefore you need time to develop a population of bacteria to convert ammonia into nitrites. Nitrites are also toxic so you need a second species of bacteria to convert nitrites into nitrates. Nitrates are only toxic in very high quantities and must be gotten rid of through regular water changes. This cycle takes approximately a month. Don't get me wrong guys, I think a pet bass is an awesome idea and I love all of your videos, Jon, but I'd like to see this done the right way. Check out BamaBass's Bonnia and Clyde, they are in the process of transferring their two bass into a giant aquarium for an example.
the lunkers rods are centered around texas and the south your rod series should be centered around the midwest and northern fishing ex: a drop shot rod and rods for smallmouth, I live in ohio and would love to see a rod series like that check out my ig: @spot.on.fishing
it is jon b's life he can do what ever he wants.. He also can make his own rod and reel and he can ask us for what we are looking for in a rod or reel and he can make those improvements so he can design a rod or reel that we like to see some improvements to.. keep up the good work jon b i like your content that you put out... i am not trying to make you mad jon b so if this makes you mad i am vary sorry.
