@@OffGridWithChrisandKristie You'll need to wear a glove and hold the leading end of the file as it spins. Move the drill in and out for each cut. Be careful not to over do it.
I thought the fireplace was weird too? Like why? Seems like a waste of precious space in such a small cabin! Maybe the wood stove was an after thought?
Very nice video. Cool old cabin in the middle of the woods and a great lake view. Would be nice if you could purchase it and make it beautiful again. Definitely lots of work though. If you plan on putting a culvert in that washout gully get the biggest one that you can. All it takes is one heavy rainstorm to wash it away or clog it up. We learned the hard way at my friends land. We put a culvert in to cross a washout gully. It lasted a year. When the flood came we found it down stream about two properties away. We reinstalled one that was twice the size of the first one and it has lasted almost 8 years now. We’ve had to unclog it once. It is a four foot diameter by 10 foot long culvert. Our first one was half the size in diameter.
Oh you’re absolutely right! It’s risky to put a culvert in for sure. Not really sure what we will end up doing there. Lots of thinking to be done about it. @@DimensionalHorse we aren’t really sure the extent of the damage. The logs look pretty rotten, but it would entirely depend on your tolerance of damage I suppose! It’s a cute little cabin in a great location all by itself
