Not all cats are the same. My cat loves playing hide and seek and tag with me and I use my instincts to see what she wants. Playing with hands is okay unless you hate getting scratched. It doesn't hurt for me and I like the mark because it reminds me that I played with her and we had a great time but yea toys are more fun but I use hands sometimes to get her attention. It really depends on what mood your cat is in

Only ever hold my cats against their will when it’s necessary, eg to get them in the carrier for a vet visit, or when my dad has the drain cover open the other day and she wanted to go in and investigate!

Brittany Renee I’m a life-long cat owner too. When at the vet I always hold my cat against their will. Also when they’re being groomed. While I’ve had some that weren’t into play but preferred to lounge, I’ve had some that played like they were dogs...chasing...hands...the works. Don’t give stupid advice.

Lots of enrichment toys too. They are super active and intelligent, can become destructive if not properly entertained. And this is one breed that LOVES outdoor socialization. Mine made friends with every dog on the street, lol. Her besties are an English sheepdog and a chocolate lab.

@cookie they absolutely DONT need baths. Most cats don't. They're perfectly capable of cleaning themselves

@@Hey_im_Viv That's what I thought. I have a cat and he's perfectly clean without bathing. I can understand washing some fufu long haired cat but Bengals are pretty capable.

Although 2 times a year is a safe maximum amount, but I wouldn't reccomend it. Cats, especially Bengals, are quite capable of cleaning themselves and you certainly should do it just because a certain period of time pasted. Unless they fell in mud something else which has led to a strong smell or an overwhelming amount of dirt the cat is not capable or cleaning, I would not reccomend bathing them. To be fair, washing a cat 2 times a year will not have any negative implications. If you do it too often, they lose essential oils (also it may be tramatic if they're not used to it). I would still attempt to get Leo used to water whilst he's young, just in case. That doesn't neccessarily mean bathing though, perhaps just seeing if he likes going for a swim. These things need to be done whilst the cat is young, so try if you feel like it.

its better to let them swim in a bath or let them do ut themselves because i have a f1 and a f2 bengal they love swimming

Why would you wash your cat at all? I see it so often on American RU-vid channels, that they wash their cats. Is this a thing? The only time when it's ok to wash a cat is when he is outside and got himself dirty. Cats clean themselves A LOT. Why wash them?

@@xxgachacookie1067 you should probably buy some toys for your cat to play with and hunt until they tire out. They will then have less energy to go after you and will also stop associating you as a toy or prey. hope this helps :)

Agreed. In fact, they are often abandoned because people aren't aware of this and buy them for asthetic purposes. Bengals typically need regular walks or exercise, otherwise they exert their energy by terrorising their owner. Also, just curious, are you planning on letting him out without supervision or keeping him as an inside cat )there's no problem with either)?

I agree if anyone adopts a pet they should let their pet explore their new home and make them feel welcome. Not get locked up :(. I believe its nice to let your pets know its environment.

When Prophet Muhammad came across a black-and-white Abyssinian cat breastfeeding her kitten during the Uhud campaign, he changed the course of his soldiers. On his way back he adopted this cat and gave her the name "Muezza." One day, he slightly tipped his cup so that a cat passing by could drink some water. The Prophet Muhammad always loved cats. His favorite feline of all was Muezza. Prophet Muhammad was so attached to him, he'd let the cat sit on his lap while he gave his sermons. He'd even drink water that Muezza had previously been lapping up. There are several well-known tales about Muezza. One says that the cat of Abu Huraira radiallahu anhu saved Prophet Muhammad from the deadly bite of a venomous snake. It is even said among the people that Prophet Muhammad stroked the back of a cat for strangling a snake that was about to harm someone and that is why cats land on four feet and not on their backs. Another relates a time when Muezza was asleep on Prophet Muhammad's robe when the call to prayers sounded. Although most people would have simply shooed away the cat, Prophet Muhammad instead cut off the sleeve of his robe so Muezza could rest in peace. A companion of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam was given the name Abu Hurairah, which means "father of cats." Abu Hurairah radiallahu anhu was given this name because wherever he went, he always had a cat with him. His original name is Abd al Rahman given by Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Abu Huraira went to Makkah with Tufayl to meet the noble Prophet. The blessed Prophet asked him, “What’s your name?” “Abd al-Shams, servant of the sun” replied Abu Huraira. “Instead, let your name be Abd- al-Rahman, servant of the Merciful,” said the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam). Annisa rm Actually, it’s not just about wet vs dry, because I tried giving my cat canned food multiple times (because the breeder said it was okay to give a bit as a snack when he was a growing kitten). He did not like canned food. I don’t think he sees it as food haha. My dog sometimes eats a cooked meal (just plain meat), and my cat will sniff it but not even eat it. He only likes his raw food, freeze dried chicken breast, those churu cat treat tubes and fish fillets. Very picky haha.

Bengal Cats are anti-allergic! That's why my neighbors got 2 Bengal kittens, although theyr are highly allergic to cats. They don't have ANY prolems. Just thus breed is bloody expensive.... and you should always have 2!
