In today's home vlog we have a picnic with our friends Jim and Nicole, which was so nice! We can't wait to do more things like this in the future. Then we show off Jackson's awesome crawling skills, he's getting so fast lol! We start on the baby proofing in his play area and we also buy a baby gate! Thank you for all of the awesome suggestions! Speech language pathologist specializing in early childhood speech and language development here. I just want to congratulate you both on what a wonderful job you’re doing using all of the speech and language development strategies with Jackson. Parallel talk, self talk, expansion, modeling, recasting, music, books, and animal, vehicle, and environmental sounds-you use them all effectively. It’s evident in his development. I’m not one to give unsolicited advice but I will absolutely give credit where credit is due. Nicely done. I’m considering using your vlog to teach my grad students how to use the strategies during therapy sessions, how to counsel and educate families about using the strategies and to show my students speech and language development in typically developing children. Whatever resources you have used, keep using them. Thanks for the sanity of your vlogs. You have a beautiful family.

Bitter Bette Our program accepts about 10% of the applications we receive each year. It’s difficult but it’s worth it. I’ve been an SLP for 20 years and it’s always been worth it.

Pediatric Dental Assistant here, so happy to see yall brushing early! Once he has teeth you'll want to use a fluoride toothpaste! BUT only a rice grain amount mixed on your hand with water until you see bubbles. That small amount will be safe enough for him to digest but give his teeth extra protection.

We have been doing social distancing outside hangout for a while now. We’ve done the driveway hangout with neighbors. We’ve also done takeout food option where we eat in our cars in parking lot. 😊

So this whole time social isolation has been really tough for most of my friends and my family but it hasn't been that tough for me. I think I've finally figured out why. If you’re outside and 6 ft apart the mask isn’t necessary. It’s only necessary when social distancing can’t be Maintained. I understand you are being careful because of Jackson, but you stand more of a risk contracting the virus at the parks than you do with a couple friends coming over. Jackson is getting so big! I just want to give him a hug!

lots of tracing to small and medium family gatherings though. Plus they are just setting an example that wearing a mask is what we all need to be doing all the time so that we can get our lives back eventually. I appreciate them trying to set an example

Stephanie Nettles yes, it was Monday at around 1:30 ish I think! Seemed as though he had just arrived, we were walking out towards the entrance. It was very cool. Funny too because we kept saying that running into Tim would make our whole trip EPIC and it totally did!

And if he were sick, they would’ve known it by the next day if not the same day. When babies are sick they are either 1) really really cranky or 2) very lethargic. They’re not like adults/bigger kids who might just “push through” feeling bad.

That crawling time-lapse had me LOL 😂 Glad you secured that book shelf 😓. Definitely expect him to crawl into that bottom shelf and "spread out" all of his toys. I would suggest to put his heavy toys on the bottom shelf and lighter ones on the 2nd one because he will pull them down. This way he won't hurt himself 😊 We love a little buddy vlog! He gets more adorable by the day! His personality is definitely coming out 🤗. So precious! 🥰

A good parenting hack for the back yard or indoors is to get an inflatable pool and pop a comforter in it or some of those foamy mats and Jackson’s toys and he can play safe

Definitely reccomeend the 2nd one you showed for one he gets older (cause that plastic one isn’t gonna grow super well ) I’ve had it since my daughter was around 1 and she’s almost 3 now and it’s been great for both her and our dog. She can undo the latch now tho but thankfully doesn’t often 😅

Jackson's growing so fast, and the faces he pulls are so funny 😂❤ UK we mostly say "incy-wincy spider", but some have started saying "itsy-bitsy". Except in Welsh where we just say "the spider" - "pry copyn".

It’s incy wincy spider in the uk! We are allowed to spend overnight with family as long as we social distance . Luckily for me my sister lives in a 6 bedroom regency house in 4 1/2 acres of grounds so we had G&T in the garden and managed to see her and distance at the same time. I haven’t seen her since February so it was lovely !

I’m not sure if you’ll read this but I felt like I needed to say it. Currently I’m 31 weeks pregnant and I’ve been going through different articles on what to expect and I found myself rewatching your story start to finish. It dawned on me today after watching this video, can you guys believe how much Jackson has grown since quarantine?! He was so little and now he’s this smiley little boy that’s on the move. What a nice way to spend time with friends. 😊 Jackson is definitely on the move now! Attaching certain furniture to the wall is always a good idea. You never know if your child would try to pull on or climb up shelves or dressers. Sanitization is a word, by the way. 🙂

Hi Guys! Jackson is crawling so well! In this stage, it helps babies to develop their vision in a lot ways. Keep the babies crawling! Also, he will need more calories now to match up with the energy he is using. He is going to be pulling up to stand on everything, grab everything, put even more things in his mouth! I would consider putting a low bench/chair in his little area, only if you supervise. That will help Jackson learn to go from sitting to standing as he grows bigger. Are you going to let Jackson taste the noodles? Have so much fun guys!
