Hello Parker and Katie, I found this channel about 6 weeks ago and I watched a couple of your videos and found myself drawn to them immediately. I am a retired mechanical fitter having spent my time doing work on engines mostly on earth moving equipment as well as stationary and marine engines and have always enjoyed sailing with friends here in NZ and with my knowledge of engines I have found myself becoming a magnet for people when they have a mechanical problem on board for which I have often worked for payment In kind----the opportunity to go sailing with them. I subscribed to your channel and started playing catch up from when you bought Boundless and and have now caught up to this episode and I am thoroughly enjoying every one, both of you have a way of presenting your travels that I haven't found in other cruising videos I have watched and Parker your expertise in problem solving issues you have come across on Boundless clearly shows you are well suited to take yourself and Katie wherever you both choose to go and your camera work is equally great and Boundless is certainly a very capable and well set up vessel. I love when the dolphins come to play on the bow or regale us with acrobatics beside the boat. They are such intelligent creatures. It seems that they respond to our views and comments as they play. But I would love to hear and understand the voices below the surface. Are they saying, "Look, it's the humans. They are such intelligent creatures to build and control these things!" -- "But have you seen them swim? They are so slow. And they have pitiful breathhold." Are our thoughts about them equal to their thoughts about us? I would like to know the answer.
Check out Trudesign for your thru hulls and valves. No more corrosion! Easy to install yourself. Marelon requires a backer plate and trudesign (normally) does not, as they have a collar solution instead. I have tried both and they both work great. But ease of install with same result is the winner in my books!
Think I have said this to you before booking in new locations book in as captain and pilot and not as captain and mate as if anything happens to the captain the mate can’t can’t move the boat but the pilot can this has come from lazy gecko sailing channel Safe travels
I'm confused why you had to get papers for Costa Rica? Did you have a reason to go onto the island other than to get the papers? If not why pay the $140 for all that? Not being rude, just genuinely curious as to what the purpose is? Why not skip Costa Rica altogether?
