I’m older than you and I will not move out of my living situation until I can afford a house. I’m Jamaican and it’s very common for adults to get married and still live at home with parents. No shame to you sis. In due time the Lord will provide.
This was so relatable!! My husband and I have a 16 month old and this is why we also live with family. It's hard to find anything on the market, even to rent, on a one-person income.

Thank you so much for making this video. I can’t even express how refreshing it is to see a real, genuine, Christian woman, talk about this! My husband and I live in an apartment and we are excepting our first baby in July. We are no where NEAR to buying a house. It is so difficult to save money and in all honesty we could benefit from living with family greatly. I often find the enemy puts so much shame in my mind for not having it “more together” or not being “successful enough” Thank you thank you thank you for this video❤ it made me feel so much less alone and reminded me to keep focus on Gods promises and not the enemies lies
Having a baby in less than 10 weeks and also hubby and I are living with my mom to save for a house, and there have been tough moments already and I know there will be more tough moments when baby comes. Thank you for sharing your situation, as I know it is very uncommon and its nice to know other couples are in this situation.
Hi, Steve, till the end, honey. It looks like you guys are doing pretty good. Honestly, it's not about where you're at financially. It's about where you're at mentally and emotionally. And whether you're relationships are strong and healthy. Keep going, keep loving, keep upholding the healthy boundaries that keep people in good places and good love with each other.
I relate to your situation in a lot of ways.. I am currently pregnant (13 weeks) and two months before we found out, my husband lost his job. I still work & am praying my husband finds employment before our baby girl is here. I too plan on becoming a stay at home wife/mom when she arrives so we are trying to be patient right now. The Lord is a provider & He has made more ways than one in this season. So I’m grateful for that. Stay encouraged, trouble doesn’t last forever❤
🍄 No shame at all in living with your Mom! It's common in other cultures to have multiple generations living together in one home, and I think that's great!
I cant believe anyone would be shamed for this. Isnt it funny how perspectives differ, heres me single mum, no husband having no choice but to work full time and not really any support. Its so exhausting and lonely I would give anything to be in stas position, but like she says God has a plan even if we cant see it.
Or how old was Ky when you and he met? I am wondering because I think I may be in the same boat as you guys with the girl being 4 years older than the guy :)

You are giving your son a very rich gift- strong bonds with godly grandparents makes an impact on a child that cannot be replicated. Also, as someone else previously mentioned, most cultures around the world have multiple generations in the home. American culture is very much not the norm. And I’m sure your mom really loves having y’all there and loving on sweet little Eros. I know I would love it if I were ever in your mom’s position. 😊
I do know , though, it can be so hard to find yourself in a place you didn’t expect to be in… it can feel very lonely and isolating. My husband and I wanted to have children as soon as we got married since I was 29 and he was 33, but we suffered for 4 years and through 5 miscarriages before our first daughter was born. That was a very difficult time for me and I felt that life was passing me by. All of my friends were raising babies while I just had miscarriage after miscarriage. It was a very unexpected place for me because, like you, I always wanted to be a mom. God is so good and he strengthened my faith in Him very much through that time… even to the point that I would not go back and change it. God was closer to me in that grief than I had ever felt Him up to that point. It was a hard time, but very refining. I look back on it now with a joyful testimony. I pray that you will be encouraged to not let Satan make you feel shame. I pray that you will keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He is doing great things through you! I have watched almost all of your videos on RU-vid and they have ministered to me many times. I sense the anointing of God on your ministry. Set your boundaries, yes, it's her house. You have to respect her House Rules. But you're the Mommy you have rolls for your kid. She has to respect to and your husband and you need to be on the same page. You're agreement of how to raise him. Is your agreement not your Mommy's in daddy's? They don't get a say and how you and your husband decide you. When your husband gets a decide, please heat my words. I've been there I didn't have to be there. My husband I didn't have to be there, but we were there. And it's not beautiful. The aftermath isn't beautiful, so make sure you and your husband are on the same page. And that you respect her roles. But make sure she respects your guy's rights and rules as a parent in a couple.
Please don’t feel bad about living with family! As someone that has lived abroad most countries have the entire family together (all generations). America is actually the outlier 😅. Of course keep working towards those goals of being independent and keep glorifying God. 🤍
