The fact that ever since he was born, anytime I hear the word lavender, I think or say “lavvy giiiiirl.” He will be in my heart forever 💜

I never posted this when you guys were raising Lark's puppies, but I rescued my dog because of your videos. Ive known I wanted a husky since I was a kid but I always hesitated. While watching your journey, I finally made the decision to get my own place and start making preparations to get a dog. Well, lo and behold. A few months later, I got a text about a litter of husky/German sheperd mixes in a home that was struggling to feed all the puppies and needed to get rid of them as soon as possible. I only had her for three days before she started showing symptoms of parvovirus. I named her Artemis while waiting for the emergency care vet because she needed a name to check in. She spent 3 days in special observation and quarantine before she was allowed to come home. I fully believe if I hadn't adopted her right when I did, she wouldn't have made it, but she made a full recovery. Artemis is now a year and eight months old. She just graduated from intermediate training. She has a million toys and makes friends with literally everyone she meets. All because you guys decided to put up your videos and share your amazing journey with us. Losing an animal you bonded with is an incredibly painful experience and wanted to say I'm really sorry for your loss. But also, I wanted to say thank you, because the good you guys did goes so much farther than raising and giving each of those puppies to wonderful loving homes. 💜💜💜Rest in peace, Lavy Boy.💜💜💜

I lost my cat few years ago. He got hit by a car on the same day I rescued him the year before. The day I picked him from the cremator a double rainbow appeared. It was like he was saying mom im ok. I believe animals go to a special place and we will see them again. My heart goes out to Joey and You. And Dashs family.

I didn’t even watch this puppy series, but my heart sank watching this. I cannot fathom the day I have to say goodbye to my dog whom I have had for 8 years and has been with me through heartbreak, and multiple moves, multiple states, road trips, vacations, loss, happy times, sad times, being pregnant, bringing home my son for the first time from the hospital, memories between him and my son (his brother)…. I wish we could have forever with our dogs. They are truly so pure and amazing ❤️🥺

Losses like this are so hard, especially when you can't see them coming. I lost my own dog at only 3 years old to leptospirosis a few years ago, and it's SO difficult and unfair, especially when they're so young. Dogs are our babies, and even though we know we're likely to outlive them, that doesn't make it easier. Everything you said is true: make sure your pup has EVERY vaccine your vet recommends, double-check their harnesses (and put a back-up collar on them!), give them their heartworm preventative, and give them all the hugs you can fit in a day.

Omg I’m heartbroken. It’s the absolute worst to lose a dog. I still cry for my dogs that passed away over the years. It hurts so bad but you will heal eventually. We need you for all the good that you do Daniel ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m so sorry Daniel, it’s so hard to loose a pup, I recently had to say goodbye to my 14 year old German Shepard Todd, that wound will never fully heal and it will definitely leave a scar but scars are always beautiful and tell the most beautiful stories. I remember how excited I was when I saw the video of the puppies being born. When they were named after colors this is so devastating I remember that cute voice when Joey or you said “lavvygirl.” This made me tear up so much like I was there too.
