Does the inflammatory effect of dairy have something to do with pasteurised vs raw? Not that I’m suggesting acidity is the cause but I’ve also read somewhere that pasteurisation causes dairy to become more acidic for the body.

Reaction to dairy actually has a huge basis in ethnographic genetics. Dairy isn’t bad for everyone, but you may genetically not be able to digest lactose or casein. Dairy is fine for me although that may change as I get older. I did a whole research project on this in undergrad and it was so interesting

The problem is A1 beta-casein found in basically all major milk brands. This is a pro-inflammatory protein that encourages inflammation in the gut. And it also makes you more insulin insensitive. I was only drinking one glass of milk a day and apparently that was too much because after I stopped I started losing an amazing amount of weight after trying for months. That was literally the only thing that I changed I still ate the same clean a healthy diet that I was before.

I didn't know, but Kefir is a fermented milk drink that is made by adding kefir grains (a mixture of lactic acid bacteria and yeast) to milk. Here is a bullet list of the potential health benefits and drawbacks of kefir: Benefits: Kefir contains probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that can help to improve gut health. Kefir is a good source of protein, calcium, and other nutrients. Some studies have found that kefir may have anti-inflammatory effects and may help to boost the immune system. Drawbacks: Kefir is made from milk, so it is not suitable for people who are lactose intolerant or allergic to milk. Kefir can be high in calories and sugar, depending on how it is made and the type of milk used. There is limited research on the long-term effects of consuming kefir, so more research is needed to fully understand its potential health benefits and risks.

- Dairy products, particularly those containing conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), may have beneficial effects on weight loss and insulin sensitivity. - Exercise and CLA may have a synergistic effect on insulin sensitivity and weight loss. - CLA may improve insulin sensitivity in sedentary individuals. - Certain types of dairy may have anti-inflammatory effects on the gut microbiome, which may improve insulin sensitivity and contribute to weight loss. - More research is needed to fully understand the relationship between dairy and weight loss.

This is the perspective of someone who has psoriasis, though it's mostly healed, the few spots that remain can be used as an easy way to measure food sensitivities, because they'll flare up overnight if I eat something that doesn't agree with me. Psoriasis and the majority of all "_sis" afflictions are inflammatory diseases. Reducing the body's inflammation is always indicated. Fasting is a good start but one must always be vigilant to consume less inflammatory products. ALso, inflammation spikes insulin and chronic high insulin throws other hormones out of whack. Generally speaking, whatever spikes the blood sugar will cause chronic inflammatory disease. Having a blood sugar test kit handy is a good thing. What inflames one person, doesn't necessarily do it to another. I'll be testing my blood sugar this weekend after having a glass of wine, after two years of finally getting my blood sugar back into a normal , sub pre-diabetic range. ( caution: what the AMA criminals and their "doctor" drug pushers consider "normal" is a technically _diabetic!_ Keeping blood sugar levels in the 70 - 85 range is healthy, whereas the criminal medical clowns say that 120 is OK! No wonder 70% of all Americans are technically diabetic !). Sorry to preach.

Milk is really inflammatory at least to my body. I stopped drinking full fat milk for awhile, the brand Straus with cream top at the wholefood market, that I consumed for years. It's so delicious. But I realized it bothered my arthritis joints. I switched to having dairy products with full fat yogurt and full fat cottage cheese that my body handle pretty well. I thought grassfed pasture raised milk could be better but NO, it still causing inflammation on my joints badly and rised my blood glucose, not very bad but not to ignore. I also noticed that I gain over a pound immediately the next day after taking milk, even after 20 hours fasting. I am a hard to gain weight even for an ounce!!!!! No matter what type of milk make no difference to me, but in the form of cottage cheese and yogurt is ok. I guess everyone is different that makes sense we all have different blood types.

I'm guessing that getting CLA from quality dairy is superior to a safflower oil based CLA supplement, but I don't really know the full measure of benefit or detriment between the two CLA sources. Is one bad, one good? Are both good, but one better than the other? Equal? Could be another good video topic.

My husband never had trouble with dairy until they started homogenizing it back in the late 50s. A process there is no need for. It changes the protein and the taste. So much better without being homogenized.And you never heard of people having issues with milk on a large scale until they started this. I bought some old fashioned milk at a health food store. He had no problems with it. Unfortunately can not buy where we live now. I do great on dairy and it helps me keep the weight off. I also do fine using whey protein in baking. The reason to avoid the pre shredded cheese is that they add sawdust to keep it from sticking together. They do not half to list it on the packagingif it is under a certain amount. A Market Place study showed they added more than the legal limit. I discovered this many years ago when I suddenly could no longer eat pre shredded cheese without extreme gut issues. I personally have trouble digesting saw dust for some strange reason. I also have problems with grains and lugumes. They cause inflammation and weight gain.

you can do a few things to boost weight loss by boosting your natural GLP-1, CCK and PYY hormones: at the evening eat 40g oat bran + 40g whey protein + 10g of psyllium husk + water 3 times per day 600mg n-acetyl-cystein + 1g glycine + 300mg vitamin B1 detailed explanation: the psyllium husk creates volume and slows down the digestion of the oat bran and whey protein the volume from psyllium husk results in more satiety through the triggering of CCK hormone. it lowers gluconeogenesis in the liver and therefore reduces insulin resistance and this metabolic switch aids fat burning. the beta glucan fiber in oat bran is a different fiber than psyllium husk and has a different function. it feeds the good gut bacteria. they produce SCFAs for many hours and that makes the L cells produce a lot of natural GPL-1 and PYY. they whey protein of course delivers building blocks for your body but also triggers the release of CCK, GLP-1, PYY. so you don't need extra GLP-1 injections. the downside of artificial GPL-1 injections is, that is does not contain PYY which tells the body to lower the hunger hormone ghrelin. so, these injections cover only one side of the "golden medal". please don't leave one of the ingredients out, the combination is extremely important! the supplements: n-acetyl-cystein and glycine are two of three rate limiting factors for the body to produce the master antioxidant glutathione. and glycine is also very important for your brain, the krebs cycle (creating enough ATP energy), new collagen for skin and joints.... basically those two amino acids are essential for repair and youth. vitamin b1 is usually low in people with insulin resistance. it helps resolving damage from insulin resistance and is also needed as cofactor for the krebs cycle. so, please try this meal and the supplements AND PLEASE report back!

I can only talk about own experience. I discovered after trial and error. But mostly by accident, I'm intolerant to dairy. I discovered all my aches and pains were caused by it. I cut out dairy whilst juicing and after a week, I noticed my bad elbow and shoulder pain had disappeared in just a week. I thought it was just my age. Nobody tells you how should feel when you get to your 50s. I look at people I know who are my age, I'm 55 now, and they move much slower than me. You can't fight father Time but you can fight old age.

Cool info. My fave is Swiss cheese though Jarlsberg from Norway is the best for decreasing bone loss and also tastes the best out of the "holey" lower cal hard cheeses (its more expensive than Swiss). Researchers found that eating a daily portion (around 57 g) of Jarlsberg could help stave off bone thinning without boosting harmful low density cholesterol, and that the health benefits are unique to this cheese. Try to avoid drinking more than 2 glasses of milk a day if you like milk because 3+ glasses per day has been associated with increase fracture risk late in life.....The opposite is true of yogurt and cheese (ie true cheese not the processed garbage). Yogurt and hard cheese actually prevents fracture risk later in life besides having higher amounts of protein and calcium. A 3 cm cube of hard cheeses like parmesan, cheddar, Swiss, Edam, gouda, Gruyere, or blue cheese has 245 mg of calcium which also helps keep you satiated. People oft only talk about insulin, but there are many other factors to healthspan late in life to keep you fit till old age. Try to keep those in mind. The other thing is don't do much cream if you want to lose weight. There's no nutritional value to it compared to many other food items.

One way to make dairy more acceptable is to just drink whipping cream or half and half, both of which have no carbs or proteins. That is what I have been doing for years. You don't have to worry about the sugars or the proteins giving you problems. And if you want a high amounts of animal fat for keto or carnivore, this is an ideal and practical solution since so many meat cuts are lean.

@davidgmillsatty1900
@davidgmillsatty1900 Год назад
@@theriac. First of all, in half and half there are negligible amounts of protein and sugar. Second of all, there are no studies to back up what you claim regarding consuming dairy on people who a eat carnivore. I have been low carb since 1996 and when doctors would tell me that doing something was harmful my response was always you don’t know that. Why? Because I was never in the cohort of people being tested. There are not even any studies that say alcohol is bad for you if you are on a carnivore diet. It may not be since most carnivore diets are very high in choline a deficiency of which causes fatty liver. Until the studies are done, you simply have no science to back up claims.

What about the antibiotics? Don't they play a role in gut bacteria? We also have to take into account what the cow was fed.. the "harvest-sprayed" grains and "treated" water.
