I actually owned this album once upon a time. When I saw it in the record store, on the sealed plastic cover was a sticker which read: Guitar Player Magazine 1977 Guitar Album of The Year! That sold me! You're absolutely right, this album is amazing! I don't know if you've ever heard of it, but there's another legendary album you might want to check out. "Friday Night In San Francisco"! A live concert on acoustic guitars with Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia, and John Mclaughlin...all playing together LIVE! It's insane! I would love to get a copy of this on vinyl! I have heard other people mention "Friday Night In San Francisco" and it is amazing I have one from that show in our Flamenco playlist as well as our Paco playlist I plan to do more from that show and much more! classic album, you re in my comfort zone al dimeola and jazz rock i have praticaly listened to the whole main work of al dimeola and i have many albums and lives elegant gipsy, electric rendez vous, land of the midnight sun and casino are my favorits also his work with the legendary jazz fusion band return to forever founded by the great chik corea and there was also the bass legend stanley clarck, great choice dude always spending great moment with your reaction, greeting fro moroco keep it real

Greetings, great to hear I really appreciate that! I almost picked up Casino but is was in rough shape I would love to have this one on vinyl. I'm really looking forward to hearing more from him, I really love his style and the vibe of his music overall!!! Im really surprised he isnt bigger in the states but luckily I live in a place where I am more apt to run into his music especially now that I know what I'm looking for!

Cool. Al's solo and collaborative stuff is great. I'd for sure consider him more 'jazz fusion' ( if we must label things ); but yeah .. as you know he did some great stuff with Paco and Jon MacLaughlin. Enjoy the journey. If you enjoy this stuff, you might want to check out Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Gary Burton ... Really terrific stuff! :) Great content. Thanks.

Thank you I really appreciate that! I really love his sound and the vibe he lays down overall, such a great ride! I cant wait to get this on vinyl, I wish that Casino one I found was in better shape but now that I know what I'm looking fore I'm sure it wont be long before I find it in the wild! I havent heard anyone mention those names I will have to check them out, thank you for the suggestions I really appreciate it!

oh i didnt expect you to react to al di meola i love this album i love al di meolas playing in general if you like al di meola you should listen to mclaughlins prime too there is a video of paco and mclaughlin playing spain by chick corea and its insane and if you want the whole trio there is alot of very good concerts of them i would suggest you to listen to fuente y caudals full album the entire album is on youtube make sure to write "full album" after fuente y caudal since its the name of another song by paco its full of masterpieces and it was the album that made paco famous worldwide i just realized how terrible my english is i hope you undrestand lol

In case you don't know them, you should listen to Ben Woods or Thomas Zwijsen. They both make metal versions in flamenco. Ben Woods also played flamenco very well and called the fusion flametal.
