With the Vic getting faster every outing its time to start taking safety a little more seriously. Especially since we've cut a good bit out of this car and race on some sketchy tracks with short shutdowns we felt a chute couldn't hurt at this point considering the car is 4000lbs and still on stock brakes. #boost #budget #racecar #turbo #crownvic #noprep #diy #parachute #stickshift #twinturbo #welding #fabrication

Get a chunk of rubber and put it between the air compressor and and frame. 70% of the noise will go away. I used the side wall of a old tire

I love it, just doing the project as it comes. Improvise by using what parts you have. Can't wait to see this pig fly :D Is there anyway to make the car lighter or is that all you can do on a body on frame car?

Aside from going tube chassis there's very little left to cut on the car. Mind you we've also added some to help with the weight distribution and getting the car to work better on a no prep.
