This is the best season to visit Sikkim and Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh). Both are northeastern states. Also you may opt to go for trekking and camping in Dzuko Valley (Nagaland)

In Guwahati one should visit Dirgeshwari temple with beaches,Dhol Govinda,Aswaklanta temple, Sualkuchi village for silk, Umananda island, Basista mandir, Tirupati mandir finally Kamakhya Mandir ,further hill top to get a picturesque view of Massive Brahmaputra . You people missed them all not only these are places of worship but these places have stunning view and vibe of nature.

Guwahati is more hustling bustling as its a city . People from all over assam come to guwahati looking for jobs and also for education. The part of guwahati were you are staying and travelling here is one of the most crowded places and moreover it was christmas season then. Guwahati is different in each corner . Some places are crowred while there are places with zero crowd. There are places in assam which will give you peace and calmness . We guwahatians also escape from this hustling life of cities during holidays and live in our villages which provides us serenity and tranquility . I am so happy that you came to northeast . Northeast will gift you warm and calm memories . Looking forward to your journey in NE .

Kaziranga orchid park 8. GAUHATi ( tirupati balaji temple, assam state museum, srimanta sankardev kalashetra , 9 and lots of restaurant where u can eat various ethnic foods 10 . Karbi anglong And many more places are there and besides assam u should visit 11) meghalaya ( 7 sister waterfall, caves, asia cleanest Village, cherapunjee ,dawki , laitlum etc) most importantly u will get mesmerized by the beauty of it and also others northeast states ( arunachal pradesh, nagaland, mizoram, tripura, Manipur, Sikkim).
