I never noticed Kristen’s scar on her neck, like ever

When I was about 11 years old, I was playing in the park near our house with my best friend. God only knows why I did this, but I was crawling on the floor underneath the slide, and little did I know, there was a piece of glass right there in front of my trajectory. Slit my knee right open. Didn’t hurt at all, but I cried because it looked scary. My mother has the exact same scar on the same leg and same position on the knee... hmmm

I've actually never seen Kristens scar and I thought Chantels lip was normal

I honestly never noticed either of their scars. I pay more attention to what they say than how they look.

I have a scoliosis scar down my back and I love it so much cuz it shows how strong I am :')

I actually have a scar right beside my kneecap, it’s pretty lame because I spilt boiling tea onto my knee and now I can say, “ I have literally spilt the tea sis”

When I was about 3 or 4 years old, I used to always take my shoes off because I thought they were uncomfortable. So one day, my mum took me and my older brother to a kids' library about a 10-15 minute walk away from our house. I don't know what my brother was doing (probably playing about), and my mum was sat with some other parents drinking some coffee and whatnot. I sat on one of those little, plastic, kids' chairs that were next to a wooden box of books. I leaned forwards to take my shoes off and hit my head on the sharp corner of the box. I didn't quite crack my head open, but there was a pretty nasty cut. There was a lot of blood and crying. One of the other parents ran into the kitchen area and got a wet cloth to hold over my head while my mum tried to comfort me. Keep in mind, I lived in a small town, and the closest hospital was about a 20-30 minute drive away, and it wasn't even a really good-quality hospital anyway. We only had one car, and my dad was using it because he worked in London. My mum ended up running through the high street with me and my brother in a pram (or a stroller for you Americans), to the doctor's office on the other side of town. I didn't get stitches, they just used a medical glue to seal the cut up. I have absolutely no memory of this- not because I hit my head, I was just young when it happened. I now only have a small dent on my left eyelid. It isn't super noticeable unless you look closely or I have my eyes closed. I'm just glad I don't remember the pain.

I actually like the crooked lip. It gives her face a very unique and somewhat playful quirk and, honestly, I think it suits her.

I got bit by a dog on my lip when I was eight and had 6 stitches. Now little kids always ask about it so I just make up crazy stories! 😂

I have a scar in the middle of my nose that makes it look like a butt from when I was using safety scissors in kindergarten and sneezed into them. Long story short, *safety scissors are not safe*

I never knew that Chantel’s lip was a scar, I just thought thats how she smiled and it was so pretty and one of her best features!

I call my scars memories. I have scars on my hands from when I was a hairstylist cutting my finger instead of hair. I have a scar on my finger from when I was opening a can of cat food and it flung open cutting me. I have a scar on my lip from when I bathed my cat squeaker and he freaked out and clawed me trying to get out of the water. That was the first time I bathed him with out me in the tub so he was scared and wanted me to console him. I have a scar on my arm from the first time I cooked by my self and burnt it. But my favourite scars are from my carpel tunnel surgeries. They are my favourite because they are scars I actually wanted. I got carpel tunnel when I was 19 it took the drs 3 years to finally believe me when I said I needed the surgeries.

From the ages of 3-6 I have gotten four scars from dog bites. Three on my face, (lips, top of my nose, and right eyebrow) and a dog bite on my arm from a dog that got lose from its owner while on a walk. Then about a year ago I don’t know if you can class these next two as scars but I do; I burnt my stomach with an iron by accident and then just after that, I slept on a bracelet which then cut my hand in the middle of the night. I have been asked about these scars and all I’m proud of the and embrace them everyday. Scars are beautiful! ❤️

i never noticed kristin's scar cuz i was actually listening to her, and i always thought and still think that chantel is beautiful . scars mean nothing. they mean injury and healing afterwards. that woman was horrible to chantel...

I have 2 scars on my stomach. I had to have emergency surgery when I was 17 to remove my entire colon because I have Crohn’s disease. I was so self conscious, about people seeing my scars, but now I don’t really care. I wouldn’t be here today, if I didn’t get that surgery.

That email is incredibly rude. Part of the reason why I love buzzfeed videos is because they show real women doing real things, which is much more relatable than a model doing something perfectly in every video!

i think chantel’s lip scar looks really good, idk that may sound weird but for some reason it gives her this really cool edgy look. its beautiful.

I know this video is very old, but I loved the immediate reaction Kristen had about the email Chantel got. You could see it came from a person who has experienced being made feel like they are not adequate, has grown enough confidence to not care anymore and it's at a point where she just doesn't have time for people who always find ways to make people feel like they're not enough

I have a (very faded) scar in the middle of my cheek. When I was in day care, a boy stabbed my face with a safety scissor. 😅😅😅 So safety scissors...not very safe.

whenever people ask how your scar appeared say EXTRAORDINARY things like i flew off of a roller coaster and split my neck open on a tree, or i was swimming and a fish bit me.

I have chicken pox scars eczema scars and most emotionally scarring Cat scratches

I have a few scars on my left arm from when i used to self harm and i'm not ashamed of them because when i see them i remimber how much i've overcomed with in my life time

I'm so glad they are showing the what it's like to work for beauty places/fashion. My cousin went into fashion design and oh my gosh the people they work for are so mean to them and the models and she and the models all struggle with eating disorders.

I have a lip scar that causes the left side of my lip to droop. Mine was a domestic violence injury. I was hit and ended up with stitches inside and outside my mouth because I had a hole through my lip. An instructional video that shows how something will look on real imperfect bodies is the absolute ideal instructional video to me!

Ok, i never knew chantel’s crooked lil lip was from a scar, i always thought it was just how she talked and I’ve always thought it was really quirky and cute! I wouldn’t even be mad if I had a scar like that, she really rocks it~ not to mention has beautiful lips

I was a VERY clumsy and active child/teen so as a result I have scars everywhere. My lip, my hand, both knees, the backs of my ankles, the bottom of my foot,and various patches of my lower legs. The story that goes with each scar is an interesting memory.

When I was in grade 1 I used to play a Littlest Pet Shop game, and I got so excited I went down to the basement to show my mum. On my way back up the stairs I accidentally mashed a part of my leg, just below my knee into the bit on the floor that holds the door. It’s made of metal. I got a scar there since then and at that moment I cried. ;w; Another scar is on my face. I was also born with a cleft pallet and I had to have surgery to fix it. I believe some if not all humans have a little bit of a moustache, so since I had surgery, no hair grows where the stitches were.

I’ve never noticed her crooked smile. It thought that’s just kinda the way she smiles but she still looks pretty and if people wanna tease her about that they should see that they aren’t perfect either so yeah.

I never knew Chantel had a scar...I did notice that her lips were maybe a little crooked when she talked and smiled, but didin't realize it was a scar.

i’m covered in self harm scars, some are super noticeable and people do point them out a lot. I would prefer if people didn’t point them out as I get really self conscious. But I’ve come to accept them as they’re a part of me that they will never go away so I will just have to learn to live with them

Didn't even notice the scars, Don't let people like the one that sent Chantel those emails get inside your head. People like that look for flaws so they can judge that person. People with scars make them unique and that;s not a bad thing. Be proud of who you are don't let others tell you who you have to be, be you and stay you, don't blend into a crowd be the one to stand out. Love you guys!

my biggest scars are the ones from self harm on my shoulders and thighs, and a huge one on my right leg from when i fell on the side of a jagged road last month. i've also got a smaller one on my side from when i got attacked by a dog when i was 6. i was scared of dogs for a long time but now they're one of my favourite animals and i've got two :)

It makes me mad that the woman Chantel mentioned would go as far as sending her an email just to bully her about her lip. I think it’s beautiful, I’m glad Chantel does not have time for such ignorant people.

I have several scars from surgery that healed really "poorly" (my mom's words) because they're all really noticeable, and in most of them you can see the holes where the stitches were. I love all of them and think they're really cool, and I wish people would ask about them more often.

I have a scar from hitting my chin on a Walmart self, I was reaching for some cups and after the incident. My mom bought those very same cups, I know them every day and I laugh to myself when ever I see them!
