Hey Guys. Happy that u guys are here. Very well welcome to SL 🇱🇰 I don't like one thing about tourists, they don't share their food or anything with us even though we are in the same seat with good relationships. I mean with talking hospitability. To be honest, if we shared something still they wouldn't share. We Sri Lankan people always share snacks in the buses or trains while we are travelling. I should say not sharing with all. At least we are sharing with the same seat people. That's kinda good humanity. But the tourists' people didn't even mind it and they are eating all that alone. I'm not saying give the food to your seat friend, I'm saying just ask one word "Do you need it or have a take it?" And don't worry they will take only one or a small portion. So show some humanity you guys as well. Don't expect only from us. And share this with every friend of yours
But I don't know what about you guys! I'm just generally saying. Don't get offended guys. some tourists can clarify this if particular reason behind of it. Thank you
That's their personal choice. Offering or not you can't like or not a person by an one single behavior. As a Sri Lankan we do also not share much with strangers because it might be put some people in spot. Its bit risky to accept strangers food these days.
Have you already been to the northern Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, Jaffna? I suggest that you plan a visit to this area too to explore the region where Tamil speaking community lives.
We'd love to do that. Most tours are in the south. We woould love to tour the northern province. There are not many in the north. We visited GH in 2019 with 14 Australians. We were the only Sri Lankan Americans at this tour with Insight Vacations.

It's truly a Grand Hotel as the name implies. Everything is prim and proper. Great staff who know their job very well. Watching these videos I feel so proud of my country. God bless my country and all those who sacrificed so much to preserve its grandeur.

I love the grand hotel, I’m half Sri Lankan, I couldn’t sleep it was when I was 22 and I scared myself by walking around the hotel in the middle of the night. I live in the US, but when my son visited with my parents 2x last year the staff loved him and he owned the place😂

As a Brit living in Devon the home of cream tea it's amusing watching you eat scones. You cut the scone in half then put cream first then jam. Depending on whether you are from Devon or Cornwall will dictate whether you put jam then cream or cream then jam. It is clotted cream although the cream in the video looked more like whipped than clotted but it is Sri Lanka. I think you did a very good job in your video. I'd love the Sri Lankan curry. Loved your video on Baghdad. I love iraq. Very special people. Please show more on Iraq the people deserve our attention.
We are Sri Lankans but not yet experienced this kind of hospitality and delicious food. Hope people of Sri Lanka may hv similar possible experience in future. Keep blessings on people of SriLanka.
