Nah just a high fever, but if you hit 42°C go call a doctor and start getting yourself to the hospital as it's very dangerous to exceed 42.4°C. I always run a bit hot when I get sick myself (40-42) and have had to learn the limit for said reason.

To be completely fair to the attendant, if I measured someone's temperature and it came out to over 45 c I'd just assume the thermometer was broken. Regardless, the fact that casinos get an exemption and fines as low as 5k is absolute insanity.
yeah same, if a thermometer read 48 you would definitely be dead. I wouldve assumed either the thermometer was broken or they had something hot on their skin. I know a few times people have read 41 degrees on the thermometer after they came out of their car with the heater blowing hot air directly in their face, after they wait a few minutes its fine. I wouldve assumed something similar to that was happening
The problem there is that he must first cool down to enough of a degree to be able to do the test properly. In one instance they had him wait for ~10 minutes (likely way less), but then he failed it again, and then they let him in anyway. If there is no successful test, then they don't know if a covid infection is potentially present.
if it was my job to measure loads of temperatures I think my brain would just blur out the first number after like the third person of the day... something 5... yep that's fine in ya go

I went to france while COVID was happening. The roads were sooo... Empty. It was beautiful. My usual work route takes 1h because there were sooo many cars in the way and driving 10km/h. But while COVID was around and all the octogenarians were at home. I could come to work within 25min. Insane, I miss the lockdown. Life was simpler.

How do they know where you live in order to be able to send you a letter? It's kinda concerning that from just a visit they can track you down this quickly. I mean police fail to do this more often than not.
I have no problem with the other parts, but the temperature thing is actually done very right and professionally by the guard there. He saw 48, he knew there must be a problem, then he told you to wait for ten minutes which is exactly what he's supposed to do legally. Then he checked again and again, until your temperature have fallen down.
