After owning our 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2 for a few days, we decided it was time to take it for a bit of off-road in the sandy beaches of Florida. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned - as everything else with owning the Discovery 2... In part 1, we find out why driving in Daytona Beach Shores is so simple, but things quickly escalate once we head up to Ormond Beach, FL for part 2. Our 2002 Land Rover Discovery may very well be saying goodbye sooner than we thought after recording this video.

Up until recording this video, owning a Land Rover Discovery 2 from 2002 was going pretty smoothly. For the most part our SD7 Discovery Series II Land Rover had been pretty solid. One door panel had fallen off and the battery had come loose. Aside from that, Land Rover Discovery ownership seemed to be going rather well compared that what we were expecting. Unfortunately, our Land Rover Discovery 2 had other plans when we set out to record this video...
Things started out smoothly, and we were able to drive down the easy parts of the beach in Daytona Beach Shores, FL with no problems. However, we decided that driving on smooth sand was much too easy for our sturdy, dependable, reliable Land Rover Discovery... It was at this point that we realized we had made an incredible mistake.. Find out what happens to our Land Rover Discovery 2 SD7 in part 2 coming soon.

Seems like every time I drive the Disco, it breaks... However, we shall press on with uncovering Discovery 2 ownership! 😂 PART 2 will be released Monday at 3 PM EST. Be sure to turn on notifications to find out what happened to our Discovery once things got tough and a tow truck got involved... 🔔

you are taking a 17 year old car on the beach after owning it for a few days and have problems, well duh. take it home give it a proper service and going over, fix everything then you won't have problems. Its a bit rough to blame the car for your stupidity.

Ah yes the cup holder feature. Man the nostalgia our D2 did the same thing.

If it is drive shaft going bad replace it. It will not just fail. It will rip and shred under carriage especially at 70 mph. I have a 2004 Disco 2 and I did research when mine started howling. Heard about smashing oil pans transmissions transfer cases. Could create more problems than its worth.

Ruh roh. I hope in the next video you guys put it on a hoist and find your own Car Wizard and discover everything wrong with it. Or maybe get your own Car Wizard and start tracking down Land/Range Rovers, cus it looks like thats what this channel is now. :)
