Minecraft Breath of the Wild Datapack Part 2 (Minecraft Java 1.19)
This datapack brings Breath of the Wilds Guardians into Minecraft. Additionally we also added Sheikah Tech and Elemental Arrows!

DUDE I LOVE THIS the guardian fight had me laughing out loud it was so cool, I don’t know what I was expecting it to be like but it’s way better than whatever I thought lol. All the small little details get me so hyped up for some reason and I love watching these videos, can’t wait to see more of this!

If you quickly wanna traverse the datapack, here are some things you can do: Getting all the items: /function botw:give Locating structures: /locate structure botw:ruins/ruins /locate structure botw:sheikah/tech_lab Spawning a guardian: /function botw:summon/guardian ! If you install the datapack, dont forget to reenter the world for the structures to spawn in

Wow those ruins fit so naturally in the Minecraft world, but the real mind-blowing part was the guardians. I love how you have to break all the legs. Brilliant!

Man this is so impressive you guys deserve more than a few hundred views. One thing I want to say though, the Guardians don't seem that scary. Maybe give them a high base speed level (like a Speed 5 potion effect?) which goes down a level each time it loses a limb, and if it has no limbs it just has enough of a slowness effect where it doesn't move. I haven't gotten a chance to try the datapack yet so sorry if it works similarly already

you guys should make a lost woods spawn with the master sword in it. maybe make it tied to your armor if you want to add in something similar to having enough hearts in BOTW to pull out the master sword.

In Botw ice arrows keep characters frozen for 30 seconds and the frozen characters' ice will melt and when exposed to electricity they will make a electric orb.

I think bomb arrows (and maybe paragliders) should also be craftable, also adding some of the items to vanilla structures and villager trades would be neat.

All of this is absolutely AMAZING. Wonderful job. If I could make one recommendation though, it would be to use less-saturated shaders. The contrast is waaaay too harsh and it’s kinda hard to look at, (like at 5:24) especially compared to BOTW’s desaturated style. But still this is great dude!

If you are refferring to the guardian fight, I had to make it a lot brighter because youtube tends to be really dark. However since things are glowing on these shots, it looks a little weird

the master sword takes two hit to kill a leg and ancient weapons including gaurdian scout weapons kill leg in one hit.

Basically the guardian is made of armorstands for the models and slimes for the hitboxes ^^

@@Craiy That's insane, I wouldn't even be able to comprehend how to go about doing that. I've just recently got into datapacking after writing it off for years as irrelevant compared to forge mods, and I've been beyond impressed with both the sheer capabilities of packs, as well as the ingenious packers that find ways to circumvent any obstacles presented by the medium. Packs like these make me want to continue with this hobby!

Would there ever be considerations to port the datapack to a Fabric or Forge mod? I ask mostly because it could potentially help improve the animation quality a bit on the mobs. Otherwise, I love the datapack so much, and it's become a must have when playing, just because it really adds to the exploration.

Very unlikely. Im not really into minecraft modding and I prefer datapacks. They create this sort of wow effect, because its all just minecraft commands and beides that, I feel like there is no youtube scene for mods anymore

@@Craiy I think these items can be quickly found in creative mode when they standalone, and they can be more distinctive when they have their own recipe. Of course, these are just my personal opinions. Please ignore me if it bothers you
