My wife Claire booked us on Burton Constable campsite near Hull for the May Day bank holiday weekend. This place is full of facts and when I said something to Claire she couldn't tell me who he was.

Lovely weather, certainly beats this bank holiday eh! The swans 🦢 made us chuckle! Loved the mugs in the cafe, they were brilliant - good decent size by the look of it - no half cups 😂 The grass cutter was begging to be ridden. The Air Con I imagine comes in handy when it’s hot. My dad as a 14 year old was evacuated from Hull ('H' Essel) to Constable Burton. Hated it, escaped back home didn't like horses. He joined RN as soon as he could. Never got the revenge he wanted for being evacuated, revenge for bring bombed didn't matter.

We visited in April and suggested the site to you in the comments, maybe one of the reasons for visiting. It is a nice site and really relaxing but I agree about the showers, plus the shower is so powerful it sprays your shoes/towels etc. Glad you enjoyed it.

@@Stchristopherofatlantis I've got a few more recommendations as well, great parks with great walks and dog friendly pubs nearby. Langcliffe caravan park, it's a 10 minute walk to Settle which has lots of pubs and cafes. Also worth visiting the train station where the 'flying Scotsman' travels through at certain times of the year. Hawshead hall campsite, situated about 10 mins walk from Hawkshead. Plenty of dog friendly shops, cafes and pubs. The campsite has great views, but we found the showers cold although clean. The route there is passable but some narrow parts via Ambleside. Coniston coppice park CAMHC, a great unique CAMHC set in the woods and access to lake Coniston where you have a 20-30 min walk to Coniston.

Brilliant Vlog as ever and it does appear to be the first bank holiday in May. Ebikes are well worth getting and you are lucky you have a bike rack already, we had to go down the route of a tow bar instllation and rack mounted on that. References of noting: 6:14 , I think this is Crataegus or commonly known as Hawthorn 🙂with Claire too on the frog thing... yuck. 09:03 could be ET passing by, you should have called 'Elliot' out. Another quality joke at 12:05 too🤣🤣🤣 Let Andy know at 15:00 I use to drive a Ramsomes 350D for a daily job... Now what was a beast of a lawnmower...

E bikes are great. We have little folders for the camper van and i have a slightly fancier Canyon for proper solo rides. Really useful for shopping trips, takeaways and sites that are a bit more remote. I use them far more than i did my normal bikes because you can go further and hills arent as intimidating. Still get plenty of exercise using them though. (Isn’t the grown up kids phase great, btw?!!😂 - its like being 25 again, slightly more disposable income and occasional aches and pains to remind you of the mileage…)

Awesome as always. Looks like you’re enjoying some great weather. A great walk around the house and grounds it looked like. I’m envious of that Bacon you had before you left the van.. we can get English bacon here but it’s not the same. And scarce! The Canadian bacon is very fatty and streaky! Another great vlog you two 😊Loved the house and gardens , but especially the banter and jokes on the way ! Think the tree with the blossom was a hawthorn and takes me back to when I was a kid ( not a care in the world ) when I saw the blue maxi , my dad had one and used it to tow one of many caravans we had , Christ knows how we ever got anywhere , loved the vinyl seats in those days and being squashed in like a sardine next to Gran 🤣 Keep em coming , much better than crappy TV 👍x

Tip for you andrew, get 6 molybedenium magnets, 3 on the flower bases, 3 where you want them on the cupboard. They wont fall off, they be very secure and in the event you want to change your minds at a later date, just un stick them with no damage to the cupboard. Cupboards happy, Claires happy, Andrews happy, Win win... 😂

Today has been hard as first day back after our 4 days away in the bus. Spent a bit of time at Bamburgh castle it’s stunning and the beaches are amazing and so dog friendly 🎉❤

Ken Roach 😂😂 We love our Ebikes and crocs, 1-2 😂 Darren had to explain it to me,,,, Claire's right have just done the same with sugar in a Wetherspoons, We are 6 miles from Burton Constable and have never been in the house, We have stayed at the site for A firework display and in the clubhouse was surprised to see George Fairburn ex Hull Kingston Rovers RLFC serving us from behind the BAR. Funny and entertaining as always. ❤
