It was rumored that Aaliyah or Beyonce was supposed to be the lead in this movie; I wish it would have been either of them over Jessica. Even though Beyonce's acting might have been off, her dancing would have been way better. And Aaliyah would have been better all around. I have always disliked this movie because no matter what anyone has said, Jessica was painfully bad from the acting to the dancing, and don't get me started on her "Blaccent." Yall joked about JLO, but her performance would have been better too. Regardless of what people think of her acting skills, she can actually dance, and you shouldn't sleep on one of the OG 'Fly Girls.'

1. Mello was almost spot on. It was Aaliyah that was going to do the role, not JLo. But yes Alba was the second choice after she died. Very tragic. The movie was being casted & filmed before DIL even released, how did Beyonce’s touring schedule conflict?
