I grow up with this music. The 50s,60s and 70 were awesome . Best music ever.

I was 16 and I think I'm still alive! This is one of the best live performances of all time. Pure talent. Their song, "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" was the most played song on the radio in the 20th century.

I am a 77 year old woman and I remember so well when the Righteous Brothers first came on the scene. Those voices immediately caused most folks, of every color, to assume they were black, because no white guys had ever produced that sound before. They captured the amazement of people of all ethnicities. To this day, their sound is still magical. No voice enhancements, just glorious sounds that have never been duplicated.

That is what is called "blue eyed soul". Amazing voice, no auto tune ..just a microphone and pure talent!

One of the greatest live performances of all time imo. This was live on the Andy Williams Show in 1965. No autotune just pure talent by the late great Bobby Hatfield. I was 15 years old watching this. More than 670 artists have covered this but this is the gold standard. It’s nice to see young people appreciate quality music. Of course it was brought back in the 1990 movie GHOST. They have many other great songs. Check ‘em out.

I was young but I remember watching that episode of the Andy Williams show with my grandmother, mother, aunt and cousin, when the Righteous Bros. were on singing this song. My whole family were all sitting there watching, crying their eyes out. Singing live, no autotune or retakes.

The 60s thru the 90s were the best music. We had substance and voices that were awesome. Those voices are very few and far between these days.

I am 77 years old, and I had the privilege of hearing their music as a teenager. They were huge! Their song, “you’ve lost that loving feeling,” was on the top charts longer than any other song that has been sung. This song by Bobby has become a classic! It was all live, and he was incredible! His other songs are just as great, “Summertime” is one example.

With both Righteous Brothers singing, the harmony is unbelievable. The hairstyle Bobby Hatfield had is called pompadour. They were very popular with male Rock music and Blues music stars in the 1950s and early-1960s. Elvis Presley had one. In the liner notes booklet for the CD rerelease of Muddy Waters’ 1968 album, “Electric Mud”, there are photos of Waters at a barber shop, getting his hair styled into a large pompadour.

You were correct when you said that music doesn't sound like this any more. So true, because this was before the technology and technicians that overly processed the sounds. These singers sound more "pure", more natural, they can bend the notes and not be auto-tuned. The soul can come out.

I was 17 in 1965 and we were blessed to have talent of this caliber. This live version by Bobby Hatfield was even better than the studio cut which charted twice. Yes, the GOAT! I was in High School( graduated in 1969).. this was played at all the dances( slow dancing TOGETHER, sooo romantic)! Everyone loved this song. I was 4 when this performance happened. I can tell you it has been covered a lot over the years. Bobby Hatfield was getting over being sick and his parents were in the audience so he was nervous and he still gave this magnificent performance. I may have been to young for this performance but I definitely saw other live tv performances of The Righteous Brothers. My favorite singers from the 60's and 70's are Elvis, Bobby Hatfield, Steve Perry of Journey, Tom Jones and Freddie Mercury. They all had amazing vocals and/or stage presence.

Oh hell yes I was round, watching it on TV when it aired. Bobby's Mom was in the audience, her first time hearing him perform live. Bobby was nervous, you could hear it in his voice during the interview just before he sang. At the end you will see him bite his lower lip. When you see that he knew then he nailed it, for his Mom. It's still priceless to watch for me. I was 7 then, I'm 65 now. This was real pure music and talent. Nothing beats it. No added effects back then. Him and a mice that's it. When they both sang together it was pure heaven then and still today. That's my personal opinion. They was given the name Blue Eye Soul.

This song was from a 1950s movie about a man getting out of prison and hoping his girlfriend was still waiting for him. This version is THE BEST cover of that original song. It was so great that it was reused in the movie Ghost in the 1990s.

WOW, Andy looks great! I met him and his wife several times when I lived in Branson Missouri. His theater was right next to the restaurant I worked in and they came in frequently. Very sweet people. I forgot how young he was at one time LOL. I only knew him as a grey haired older man.

My generation had great music, and we all liked music, we all liked all genres of music, we all sang along . I still have hundreds of vinyl, well kept to leave to my daughter.
