They can't even predict the weather a few days ahead so why should we listen to their long term predictions?

Blink and miss it! Long hot dry Summer, lucky to have a week of normal hot Summer weather. The alarmists will tell you its global boiling, even if its 10 below zero.

OMG! Welcome to the Matrix. Correct me if I am wrong, is Autumn just around the corner. Or have the Geoengineerers decided it is about to get cold.

So it was going to be a dry and hot spring. Then it was going to be a dry, hot and catastrophic summer and we'd all be lucky to survive the heatwaves and the wildfires. Record temperatures everywhere except here because I've been watching our temperatures via the little weather station we have and keeping my own rainfall records. Now they say wetter and cooler.... we'd better clear the grass from around the house, stack firewood well away and set up a sprinkler system! They can't tell us what will happen next day let alone a hundred years from now and we are supposed to trust their predictions? Just imagine being a farmer, do you keep your sheep and cattle over winter and hope there's the rain and grass to keep them going or sell off most of them and save as much feed as you can to get your remaining animals through winter? Do you prepare the ground and buy seed and fertilizer or give this year's winter crop a miss and save yourself tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars?

Just look back far enough and you will see the climate cycles at play. Their a lot more accurate that the “experts”.

La niña didn't leave. She was hiding here in Melbourne and throughout parts of Victoria. We haven't seen el niño since the droughts ended over 10 years ago. I bet Daniel Andrews and Labor wish they built more Dams not not a desalination plant everyone's paying for but doesn't need.

In other words the weather is changing again....All part of the seasons ....We dont need the unnecessary mongering ....

La Niña and El Niño are not short, singular “events” they are oscillations that basically spin in a certain direction for years then spin back for years. In El Niño, air comes across from inland Australia to the east coast causing hot dry droughts. In La Niña, it moves the opposite way bringing wet air from the pacific across the east coast causing rain and flooding. This is an extremely basic idea of this oscillation. A rain storm or a hot day are not La Niña “events”. We’ve had 4 yrs of cooler, wetter weather (La Niña). We still have La Niña and probably will for the next couple of years but this is showing up the “every day is a new record hot” by BOM. They tried to convince us “el nino is coming… panic” but again it didn’t happen so now every rain or hot day is “el nino or la nina events”. BOM you are becoming pathetic.

We never really got rid of la Nina. I was waiting for el Nino to return because shes been hanging around for four years. We were told she'd go this year but she hasn't. I wonder if this is our new normal.

The El Nino that never happened, the lady who called that an ocean temperature chart: it is not temperature it is the graph of the difference between the temperatures at different points (called anomalies). Not only rewriting history but can't even read the title on a graph. Good one, El BoMo, go back to the crystal ball.

The problem is most of inland Australia's weather is determined by the IOD which has been trending negative giving inland Oz higher than average simmer rain. The IOD ocean currents however have recentle reversed strongly which will quickly be reflected into a positive IOD creating drought in inland Oz
