I've had my weber genesis s330 grill for 10 years now and I usually cover it religiously. I stopped doing that the past year and the knobs are tight to turn, they don't go in or out, and its hard to fire up the burners.
I used a common cleaning solution and grease to fix this myself. It only takes a few minutes per knob, and its much cheaper than buying replacement parts when these just need a cleaning/greasing.
