My friend's Weber Genesis SE-310 blew over and broke off two of the valve stems. He asked if I could fix it and now I can after watching your video. Thanks!

You’re welcome Tom. It’s an easy fix, but unfortunately it’s pretty expensive as well. I wish one could buy just the valve stem so that you didn’t have to purchase the entire valve

Tanks for that excellent video. Lets go and fix those valves now. Update: The pins had come off. Ordering new once.

Has anyone tried soldering the stem back together? I too thought i could easily find a stem since these grills seem to easily get knocked over with the wind however I have not been able to find stems for any type of valve! instead, manufacturers want u to replace the entire piece.

You likely need to braze the stem. Soder would not be strong enough to secure the stem.

Bought a spirit with same sheared valve stem. Can’t find the right part even on your referenced website. I suppose I will find a cheap valve stem and cut it to size and solder.

Well done. I have a good stem but frozen valve inside the larger piece you did not replace. I have it soaking in PB blaster right now. If that doesn't work would you want to sell me the half you didn't use?

Bret. You are welcomed to the part if I can remember where I placed it. Let me know if the PB blaster fails to unfreeze it then I will see if I can find the part.

Bud, PB Blaster free’d it up (finally) and we’re back in business! I also had to ez-out 2 stuck screws to get valve valve out. Nothing was cooperating. Thank You anyhow. Bret

@@bretb8799 - Glad you were able to get it free'd up. Yep. It's always a replay of Murphy's Law when you're working on things. You can usually bank on it!
