Nothing says spring like lamb. Today, I'm showing you how to roast a boneless leg of lamb on your Weber Q.
Ingredients:
1 small boneless leg of lamb, pre-packaged and trussed
Garlic cloves - as many as you want
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Herbs de Provence
Directions:
Cut cloves of garlic in half length-wise
Remove leg of lamb from packaging
Pierce holes into lamb with paring knife
Insert garlic into holes
Season all over with olive oil, salt and pepper
Preheat Weber Q for 10 minutes with smoke pouch (optional)
Place roasting rack and shield onto grill
Place lamb onto roasting rack - fat side up
Close lid
Roast for 30 minutes/pound
Baste with olive oil, salt, pepper, herbs mixture every 20 minutes
Remove when roast reaches 145° F / 62° C
Rest roast for 10 minutes under loose aluminum

About to do this on my massive bbq in Australia which was a far cry from my no BBQ in Queens. Wish I had thought of doing it on my fire escape. Thanks for the vid!

Turned out great, 2 hours on Medium heat, but the roast was 4.8 lbs. so it was going to take longer than your video. Bought the Q back in May, from Weber online. While at Costco when I got the roast note that the Q is now at Costco, same one I bought, 2100, with cart, with conversion hose, for $279. That is an amazing deal. Get your Q at Costco while they last.

It's these simple recipes that are often best. Leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary, doesn't need anything more.

What sort of wood chips did you use for the lamb?
@GallaghersGrub
@GallaghersGrub 4 года назад
I'd use a fruit wood like apple or cherry. I think mesquite or hickory will be too strong for the lamb. Good luck Monica!
