The first week was pretty intense! If you like instagram, follow our journey there! instagram.com/zakgeorge If you are new to this series, here’s a playlist with all of the episodes: ru-vid.com/group/PLMssKIjsDxXl_ZXQgcHlEY_fC-yL5P76N
hey zak i had a question ...in the older videos you are feeding the dog chicken i would like to know if the chicken is prepared or cooked, non cooked , cold ,warm, would cold cuts work ? i think you might have to make a video about it lol
Zak George’s Dog Training Revolution I really hope you reply back 3 years ago I purchased a puppy but soon after I had to have an emergency surgery which left me bedbound, luckily my dog now three is really smart and learns quickly but he doesn’t like to be held for long, nor petted for Long and to make matters worse, we can’t afford a trainer please help
Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ru-vid.comUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
Not because of but it certainly does help now since we got more time to invest in the pup :) Im just curious how a 'Shiba Inu' will do compared to a collie, Shiba's are supposed to be pretty stubborn and hard to train :(
I like that you’re real and don’t pretend like everything snaps together in one or two sessions or a few weeks. It’s nice to see that even trained professionals don’t have a magic bullet that makes the perfect dog immediately.
Got a Corgi puppy (12 weeks old) 3 days ago and watched all of your videos for preparation. I was prepared for every little thing that could go wrong, but believe it or not he is the calmest pup I have ever met and walked on the leash like a big guy from the start! He even used the pee pads without crate training. Today we learned the basic commands and it worked after a few minutes with clicker training. Thank you for your videos!
@@alyonababanova8161 She was found abandoned at 10wk and it's an old survival habit she hasn't kicked yet. I assure you she's on the highest quality dog food available and it not at all lacking in nutrition. She also takes her vitamins like a good girl because she's a large breed and the extra joint supplements should keep her spry a bit longer than average.
@@laner.845 Oh goodness! Thank you for taking her in 💜 I hope she is doing great!! Assumed it was because of lack of nutrition from grain kibble sorry 😂😅
I typically don’t comment on youtube videos, but I just wanted to say I’m really enjoying these videos. It’s great how you are showing the real day-to-day with a puppy, and not trying to glamor it up. The hard work you are putting in is really showing, and I’m grateful for you doing so!
So pleased to have discovered your videos. My cavoodle is 8 weeks old and your training is working. I'll be following along with Inertia. My pup can "come", "sit" and now respond to his name, thanks to just one day of training with your videos. "Leave" is next....
I'm happy you are posting your progress with Inertia! I just got a new shiba pup and I was honestly really confused on how to train and your videos have been super useful!
ax17xs just remember its ok when you fuck up at times. It wont ruin/scar your dog forever. Everyone makes mistakes. Just keep reinforcing positive behaviour whilst trying not to lose your temper and you will be fine. Good luck
My dogs have gotten into the habit of doing every trick they know to get a treat. When I get out their evening treat they just start rolling over, playing dead. bowing, stamping their feet, sticking out their tongues and everything else they know. It's pretty cute.
I love watching Inertia!! Thank you for inviting us along for the journey. Glad to know that the biting is normal. My 8 week old pup is starting to bite and play a lot and I’m a little overwhelmed. More variety of toys and treats to redirect sounds good!
I truly think Indy not only needs her own youtube series... but she needs her own Instagram and Merch! ❤ As much as I love Inertia, Indy will forever be the dog I get the most excited to see.... I think I love seeing Indy more then my own dog! 🙊 Jk... my dog knows hes my life 😂
These are so useful to be watching! My childhood dog left the world almost 5 years ago. I have a friend who's dog is about to have some pups and have decided that I am ready to have one again. So I have been watching these to give me some reminders and tips on how to be ready for the pup when I get her/him!
It’s been several years since I had my family’s first (and only) dog so it’s been a while. tomorrow I’m bringing my own puppy home. Have been binge watching these and am really excited for this new journey.
Thanks Zac & Inertia, after watching your videos over the past several months, i finally have my own pupper to teach everything you have taught me, again, thank you for helping me already create a great bond with my pup Piper.
These videos give me so much reassurance with my puppy training, you forget that it’s not perfect. To see Inertia show some of the behaviours my puppy is doing that discourage me a bit, literally is such a relief to me. Thankyou Zak for helping us raise a generation of good, well behaved, and most importantly happy, dogs
I’ve been looking forward to Sundays now! Helpful for dogs at any age - back to basics for my 6 month old. My positive trainer said all issues kinda stem from a need to revisit “sit”, “stay”, “leave it” and “drop it.” Probably a few others I’m leaving out but what I’ve been encouraged by all the videos of yours I’ve binge watched is how much love and care you show your pups and us novice owners trying to do better! Thanks for including the “imperfect”, realistic moments too!
I love inertia and you and I am sure that with your great guidance she is gonna become an excellent puppy and I gonna get a lot of love She is going to grow into a strong and kind and well behaved and gentle dog 💜💜💜💜
My 8 yr old daughter loves dogs and is learning so much about training from your videos. She can't wait to get a dog and now feels so very prepared. Thanks, Zac!
You just make everything look so simple in Inertia's training.. you're amazing, I'm watching your videos, I have a 12 weeks old puppy and I'm teaching him everything you do with Inertia. Keep going, you're doing a GREAT JOB!!!
I just want to say thank you. I’m getting a puppy next week, and yes I am prepared. But I just felt like I never really knew what to do with it the first week. As all the other videos explain what to do, but they don’t show how to. And I love your videos, as your doing it, and explaining! I feel a lot better after watching this series
This video was very helpful to re-watch. I’ve been dealing with some setbacks in play-biting and other obedience skills. This shows that even masters like yourself still have trouble from time to time. I was starting to say “NO!” To everything I didnt want him to bite and he was clearly getting frustrated. His mood got much better when I started redirecting.
I'm so glad you're showing that it's okay to both outside potty train and indoor potty train at the same time. Were looking to get a dog in the near future and potty training was going to be an issue due to our work schedules and it's been so hard to find information on whether it's a good idea to train for both scenarios. This has definitely given me peace of mind to know that it is possible and we can make it work so that our dog will have the ability to know where it's okay to use the potty whether we are here or not
@Aditri N My roommate's dog got impregnated from a neighborhood dog. He kept jumping our tall fence and got her pregnant. Since I live here, I've been with the puppies since the day they were born and because I chose one I was able to be around much earlier. My roommate isn't a breeder but they waited until 9 weeks before letting the new owners take them to their forever home. Roommate still has the mother so my dog sees her everyday.
We need your help! Our puppy is 8 weeks old... and we have had a her a week! Your videos have been so helpful for us! She’s kennel trained... doing great on potty training, she knows sit, down and look at me! All thanks to you. She’s incredibly loving and sweet so that doesn’t hurt either 😋 We are working on biting with all your great tips but she’s a puppy, we do see progress though! So our problem is she is incredibly anxious on walks! She doesn’t want to leave the house at all, with the noises of the cars, construction in the distance, everything makes her jumpy and nervous... and our neighborhood is really quiet!!!! She’s not at all anxious in the house, very playful happy, curious.... but as soon as we go to the door she starts whimpering. We tried treats and reassuring and we are really patient just a couple steps here and there... trying to go for a walk at least twice a day. Do you have any ideas for us how to help her have a better experience on a walk! We would be appreciative of any ideas 🥳
Love your videos. We have had Rufus 3 weeks now. He’s 11 weeks old. Potty and crate training going well. Slept through the night last night. I had been getting up at 2 to let him out. He knows his name and knows no and stop. Doesn’t mean he won’t stop, usually does, but goes right back even though I give him a good chew. Of course the biting is crazy. He is very determined when he gets involved in something. He is a Corgi. He is our fourth and probably the busiest we have a 12 year old female corgi and she puts him in his place by showing teeth or snapping ( something she never does to us, she’s very sweet) but he goes right back and bugs her again. I am continually watching your videos and do a lot of the things you advise. The vet says he is smart which is a good and bad thing!
I'm on week 4 with my new puppy and this has been so helpful. It's good to know that even a professional trainer goes through the same challenges and positives of having a new pup. My puppy is teething and chewing and biting so this is excellent information for me. Thanks!
We got our new baby two days ago, I've already been binge watching, but going back thru to see what all I missed, or is relevant to what's going on. I also have both books. It's been a load off my mind, as I haven't had a puppy for 15 years, so I really needed some schooling myself. Thanks Zak!!
Thank you for sharing this realistic, non-sugarcoated puppy training! I'll be a first time pet owner in a month and I've been so nervous about what it's like to train a puppy! This has been so helpful.
Best series! Nothing has been as helpful for me and my new puppy as this

I taught Max from day one the words in and out, and have used it when going into his crate, our car and even our new dog bike trailer. He knows that waiting for permission gives him a new treat, so every time I say “ok” he gets a treat, so he knows that staying in position gives him treats.
It feels so good to see that you are going through things like Inertia biting you shoes. I have that problem when my puppy either is tired or frustrated.
LOVE LOVE LOVE these videos!! I have a pit bull mix puppy that is 12 weeks old and your videos help so much (: he already knows sit, lay down, shake, roll over, and speak!! You are the best ❤️
I LOVE how candid this series is about life/training with a puppy. Puppies can be disasters at times and that's the reality. Just a few questions. Won't pumping treats into a new puppy make it difficult to fade them out later? When's the right age to introduce gentle, negative reinforcement?
Hi zak. I’ve been following for a while and I absolutely love your work. The bond, the positive reinforcement, the YES instead of the yelling NOOO! . I love it. But you do seem to spend a LOT of time with her. Can you give some tips to people like me that have work 9 to 5? Do you advise getting a new puppy during holidays ?
As a new puppy owner with my first dog of my own (rough collie), seeing all of these have been great. It's so nice to actually see a puppy on camera actually being a puppy rather than looking like an "angel dog" behaving perfectly when on camera. Training her has been great, and she has learned about a half dozen commands as well as crawling. I'm also in the process of having her jump (not really yet since she's only 10 weeks 3 days old) up to get a treat in order to have learn other tricks in the future (such as sit pretty). She will soon begin to learn to "spin to win." :D Housebreaking is amazing so far. Although she certainly isn't housebroke yet at such a young age, I've never before seen a puppy have so few accidents, and I've been around dogs my parents have had all my life. She's an amazing pup so far! :D
4 day ago got our Goldendoodle puppy. This video series and your book have been invaluable! I’ve rewatched these episodes 5-10x already haha really love your content. Thank you! 🇦🇺
My discovery of these videos with the adoption of our new pup couldn't have been timed any better. Zak, love your guidance. I don't want Lola to end up like all the other untrained dogs in my neighborhood. I thank you.
I am truly enjoying your videos. We will be bringing home a puppy in 3 weeks. Thank you for your dedication. I’m learning a lot. Plus, I am reading your Revolution book. Great read.
Such a beautiful pup. I have always loved this breed but i do not have the proper lifestyle to offer this breed what they need. She is absolutely adorable ❤
My German shorthaired pointer was born on August 11th getting him in October, so I'm prepping with these videos haha. Its been awhile since I owned a dog so these came around at the perfect time.😊
This channel is amazing and interesting I am getting TWO PUPPIES THIS WEEK! I am sure these videos will help with my training!!! Thank you and congrats for showing manageable a puppy can be! ❤️ 👇🏻
She is like, "Why is Mickey Mouse saying my name?" My shoes and undies were always taken to places I did not put them when my youngest was little. My old man still takes our socks LOL.
Hi Zak!!! I’m getIng two puppy’s tomorrow and I need to learn about training them, I’ve never been with out a puppy, but my dog died recently, so me and my mom are great full for your video’s!!! So thanks!
Thank you for all the content! Used your pupbox code today. I'm training an 8 week old Weimeraner right now and it's a lot of work lol. Thank god for resources like this.
Would it be a good idea to wear loafers just to minimize the distraction? At least while specifically training her on something like leash walking or fetch?
I'm getting a golden retriever in a week....................... so........ ive almost watched the entire series thank u zak so much because of u i'm very confident about him
Were on the waiting list for a labradoodle next year and I’ve been watching your videos consistently!!! They are extremely helpful and help me prepare for when my dog does come home. Just one request, could you make a video on all the “statistics.” (How much to feed, how to brush, etc.)
Thanks for your videos, seeing Inertia made me want a collie puppy :D I got a collie pup on Wednesday and he's been doing great! He's still whining in the crate but it's more because he's over tired than because he's stressed. Where he lived he was allowed to run around wherever he wanted so it's been hard getting him to settle without putting him in his crate and I'd like the next step to be able to have him settle anyways. I'll be bringing him to a group class soon. Beau knows sit, down, his name and to go potty outdoors, even overnight!
I have a strong quilt..not a fluffy one..like a bed covering easily thrown in washer..on bottom of crate I have a flat area rug..also machine washable..those fancy shmancy beds and padded things are desert for most dogs. My Plott ate 4 of them. I put his toys in there too..but not ones he could tear apart n swallow..dangerous for chewers.
I’ve got “puppy fog” at the moment with my new Border Collie😂 that mixed with my 6yr old Jack Russell! But she’s really good already, 10 weeks old and knows sit, down and paw! She’s also pretty good at knowing not to use her teeth on us but she does forget sometimes but for her age it’s great☺️
love your training videos, it's my first time training this way, and things are going very well. i have an Australian Kelpie, and we live in Tasmania. Thanks for your work.
One thing I haven't seen you cover is a dog that just won't move the minite you pick up the leash. I tried everything you suggested but it was a no go.. My pup Zilla was 4 months when we got her at the end of January and had never been on a leash. My daughter and I brain stormed and came up with a plan. She has a 9 year old female boxer that my Zilla had played with a couple times and loves. She brought her over and they played for a few minutes then my Zilla followed her out the garage and down the street on leash no problem. I guess she just needed to be shown what she needed to do. It took 3 sessions and she walks great now. Just thought I'd add this incase someone was experiencing something simmular.
