Exactly right. Worst pain Ive ever felt and I can endure a decent amount of pain. Toothache pain can bring you to your knees and curled up in fetal position in agonizing pain.

Anybody whose ever had severe dental pain would agree with this 💯! I had my four front teeth in the bottom extracted and I wear a partial. In three days I'm having the all of my top teeth extracted and I purchased the immediate dentures. Once I get the permanents made in roughly six months, then I'm having what's left in the bottom ripped out and going full dentures! I never would've thought I'd be looking forward to having all my teeth yanked, but I NEVER want to deal with this shit again!

​@@JosephTongretyou got that right bro, if your teeth took a dive take them bad boys out. Because eventually you won't trying save any of them. When they start breaking, and you have toothaches all over your mouth. Get rid of them, sooner and not latter.

Im 7 days in yea def a learning curve to this thing i eat alot of fruit and they havve anti inflammation properties eat smoothies strawberries and kiwi fruit

Oh I can relate with u hon because I'm about to go through the process myself! I'm scared beyond belief but on the other hand I have no choice but to get dentures and being 65 with NO one to talk to this is a blessing 🙏 that people like this guy takes the time to help others.

same boat here, down to 6 real teeth & theyre failing & beyond sick of the pain & have no c hoice but to go this route.

Ya I took mine out after day 1 and couldn’t get lowers back in. Wish I didn’t take them out, I think sleeping with them in for the first week is best. I’m glad I helped

Thanks. Did you have an issue with your denture coming loose since it was only 5 months after extractions? I heard at least 6 months or more

@@JustinBsDentureJourney No, I have never had an issue like that. I got a hard recline at 1 yr. I am able to eat anything and everything I want, salad, nuts, apples on the core, corn on the cob and etc. I have never used any type of adhesives. You should be a lot better at the 1 yr mark. However not everybody heals and shrinks at the same rate, nor will everybody be able to eat everything and be adhesive free. I hope you have the best of luck.

Really! If that happened to me I'm sorry but I'd be looking for a lawyer and sue! No one should have to go through what you did and for that dentist to act like that he should lose his license

@mariehufnal2148 actually plans are in place. I have filed a grievance with my insurance company. I can only go to this dentaoffice or one in the opposite direction. I will wait to file a grievance with the state dental board and am looking at the possibility of a lawsuit

You sound like me…. I’ve lost 8 lbs and don’t 😊feel like eating much…..My Immediate tops are fine ( just one rubbing spot) that needs an adjustment…..it’s the bottoms that are giving me trouble….. I Cannot “chew” any food with them both in…..the bottoms have sores from rubbing when they move and they flop all over and hurt the gums……I need to take them out to eat….. I eat with just the tops in….purée solids foods (mush), eat mashed potatoes, rice, applesauce, scrambled eggs with melted cheese and did crumble up a sausage patty with it, I made cornbread and a sausage gravy over it for breakfast one day, overcooked a bunch of zucchini with garlic s/p butter and made a Bisque Soup……….I miss my bagels and Philadelphia Cream Cheese 😂. Have had 3 adjustments on the Bottoms so far and while it helped a little, I still can’t bite down and chew w/o hurting and flopping around…..tomorrow third week and calling for another adjustment….want to ask about that “Soft Reline” that Justin mentioned…..wonder if they’re going to tap me for more money for that? So far I hate them 😡👵🏻

No problem. That first week or two is the worse. Your gums are so sore it hurts to put any pressure on them. Good luck

@@meshell1399 I'm a little over a month out. The teeth don't line up when I smile and the bottoms are a pain in my rear. I have an appt for a soft reline at the end of the month. I'm going to bring it up.

@@isobelanderson9220 day 5. Still have sore spots, but I wash my plate in almost hot water while I'm swishing and it's very sore to put in on the pressure points. My eye teeth mainly. But I deal with the pain for 5 minutes and it gets better after a while

It’s a little ruff but it’s worth it. Most do give you an immediate denture.

@@JustinBsDentureJourney Had the surgery. For some reason I don't numb up well. I had to ask for more gel and more shots. I took a Xanax before the procedure and I felt pretty relaxed. I can't believe how quickly it all went. I was in and out in about two and a half hours! I love my full upper and my partial lower. Can't stop smiling! I woke up in horrible pain today though. I was prescribed pain medication but didn't wake up to take any in the night. I ended up having to call off.

I would take the narco every 4 hrs and take ibuprofen in between. But I had to go in for a 24 hour later appointment. Then I told them I’m in a lot of pain and see if they can give me something else. Don’t know the shade of my teeth. My plan I got was lower so they showed me two shades and I picked the whiter one lol. Good luck

I had a pill to ease my nerves. For 24 teeth it took a hour and half. The numbing shots were the worst. Just pressure. During the procedure I just kinda zoned out. Listened to the convo between dentist and assistant. You might be able to bring some headphones. Good luck

With my dentist and the level of dentures I got, I didn’t have many options for shades. I had 2 to choose from and I picked the whitest. Lol

@@thomasr.1bad21ultra9 I’m doing amazing now. I go for my hard reline in 2 weeks. I day after a couple months it felt completely normal but after just a month I was doing good.

@@JustinBsDentureJourney Glad to hear it, you went through a lot. Years ago I worked with a guy who did it and he told me it was the best thing he ever did. Is eating certain foods tough? Like steak etc ?

Day 4 was one of my rougher days. After day 5 or 6 the swelling will start to decrease even more. You can always take ibuprofen a half hour before putting in, this helps drop the swelling. I ended up not having lowers for the first month so I couldn’t eat normal until then. I would say 2 weeks and things should be better. That’s also around the time you should get your first soft reline

@@JustinBsDentureJourney Thanks for the reply!! I had my consult last week and didn't even think to ask if they prescribed anything for anxiety for beforehand. They said they do not but that I could ask my PCP, which I did and she gave two xanax to take tomorrow. But after thinking about it, if they don't prescribe anything for before the procedure, which would make their job easier I imagine, I'm terrified they are going to send me home with just tylenol. I am beyond nervous!!

Def give them time. Or the dentist might have to get them out

Luckily my tops were no problem at all. But my lowers were out for a month with my issues. The pain I had with the lowers in and trying to put them in was bad. But keep icing the area and give it a little while and it'll be here. Good luck

@@CornpopAKAJoeyB you're more acceptable to dry sockets so be careful. I heard if left out for too long you will have bone loss but if only for a week or two I imagine you will be ok

@@JustinBsDentureJourney Thanks, I just don't know why the dentist didn't do the top extractions first then the bottoms . He took out half my top teeth and half the bottom teeth on day 1. And just removed the other half of the top teeth and bottom today. So half of my top denture is hurting and the other half that healed a little is ok.Is it normal for the dentist too do extractions this way?

I lost like 20 lbs. just depends but most lose weight.

I had a pill that relaxed me a lot. Then I was very numb. Really I think the pain and suffering from teeth cleaning is worst. I did need aveoplasty and a few bone spurs removed by dentist.

Just wanted to add my opinion. I had my extractions 2 days ago and with no gas or I've. I was shocked because my severe anxiety was through the roof when I first arrived. The surgeon came in and I asked what was he going to give me IV or gas and he said oh you're going to be just fine? First I was shaking so bad I thought I was going to have a breakdown then he had his nurse put some numbing stuff on my gums. He did give me novacane (4) then after about 10 minutes I couldn't even feel ANYTHING! I was listening to music and he talked me all through the procedure. Well after 19 extractions and 2 bones filed down he said well u can open your eyes you're done! All I can say hon is it's really very very scary but u got this. God bless

I never used orajel due to the issues I had. I only used an numbing gel when I removed bone spurs. That was so long ago it’s nice now

Keep on the ice and rotating your pain pill with ibuprofen. Good luck

@@JustinBsDentureJourney due to genetics, having my kiddo and lack of dental insurance for the longest time plus being on an antidepressant, my teeth were literally crumbling! I couldn't eat French toast with losing half a tooth. So now that I have great dental insurance and I'm in a spot where I can financially do this... I'm going for it!

That sucks. I had to get better pain pills. So I can’t imagine none. Talking is a struggle at first. It took a little while to get used to it. I would just talk to myself when alone just to practice lol

@@JustinBsDentureJourney that's what I've done! Lol ... My daughter laughs at me when I find a word I'm having trouble with and have to say it over and over! ... Yeah the no pain meds reeeeally sucks! I couldn't believe they wouldn't give me any! But it hasn't been the worst pain I've ever had or anything but I'm on day 4 now and they are really digging into my gums and creating a big sore that hurts worse than the teeth pull did!
