George Michael was the best singer there ever was and ever will be he will always be my favorite and I will love him. His voice just makes my heart happy. I love hearing him above anyone else. I completely disagree with the outfit. I think George Michaels was better, and his voice too George Michael always be the best. All I have to do when I’m having a bad day is listen to George Michael and it makes me happy inside. I will always love him the best he will always be my favorite. He definitely makes my heart happy. No one else can do that.

For me, George was the most talented, singer, songwriter, and producer of all time. He had the ability to convey his pain, his sorrow, his happiness through his music and the listener, if really 😂 could feel it to the depth of their soul. It’s no wonder he won in his lifetime so many awards and 12 of them I believe were songwriting awards. He didn’t have more than five studio albums and with those he managed to rack up over 125 million sold, which tells you the astronomical talent this man possessed. I’ve listened to several voice, coaches and analyzers cover George and yes, he was better live than in studio. I was fortunate to see him live, and I’m telling you he held the audience in the arena in the palm of his hands. His live voice was just unbelievable.

The best live performance I ever heard in person was George Michael singing Brother Can You Spare A Dime at Wembley Stadium in 1999. His voice was so strong and so pure that it just echoed around the whole stadium of over 70,000 people. Stunning.

I love all of this performances one of my favorites was Jesus to a Child, and I loved him sing in the Long winding road which wasn’t his it was Paul McCartney’s, but he sang it fantastically I love George Michael he will always be my favorite. There will never be anybody who matches to him in my heart.

That live performance on Pavarotti and friends of BCYSAD, is just EPIC. There are no words to describe the power and accuracy that George possessed all at the same time. It is so on display when he sings on P and Friends.

George Michael singing Somebody to Love at the Freddy Mercury tribute is phenomenal!! He was the only artist that showed up 4-5 days in advance just to rehearse to get it right. All the other artists only did one day. He is an absolute LEGEND!!! George won 3 Ivar Novello songwriter awards. He is, to this day, the youngest artist to receive that award.

Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics, and Elton composed the music. I was thinking just before you said it, we need an Elton John week! When I was a little girl and had no money I would call the radio station and request an Elton John song and when I heard them announce it I would hit record on my tape recorder and that's how I would get Elton John tapes. When I got older I bought the albums. If I had been at that concert I would have lost my shit when Elton came out! Love them both!❤

I'm just going to leave this right here: George won his first two Ivor Novello Awards for Songwriter of the Year and Most Performed Work with Careless Whisper. The Ivor Novello Awards are presented annually in London by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters. George would go on to be nominated several other times. He won awards also in 1989, 1996 and 1997. George regarded winning his first Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter Of The Year in 1985 as one of the most significant achievements of his career. At the age of 21 he was also the youngest (at the time) recipient ever to win the award. Notably, he went on to win six Ivor Novello Awards and, to date still remains the only individual songwriter to have ever won their prestigious Songwriter Of The Year Award three times.

This was Elton’s first performance after coming out of rehab. George asked him to do this to ease Elton back into performing now that he was sober. Oh, and Tim Rice wrote the Lion King lyrics for Elton to put music to. Another thing is that the manager for Queen was John Reid who was Elton’s manager and lover. Watch Rocketman. So much better than Bohemian Rhapsody and Taron Egerton sings for real all the songs in it.

My goodness boys, if you did not know, Bernie Taupin is Elton’s lyricist. He probably wrote 70 to 80% of the songs that Elton sang . Elton wrote the music . George wrote all of his songs, his music and produced and played 80% of the instruments for his catalogue. Very few did it all.

George was one of the best ever, he was good with Wham, but then he was incredible solo. For me live is always better than anything in the studio. He had great backup singers and was simply a perfectionist. Just watch "Killer/Papa Was a Rollin' Stone LIVE" or "Somebody to Love (The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert)"

George and Elton were great friends. Elton had just come out of rehab and George was touring at the time. He asked Elton to join him for this performance and Elton was scared because he had not sung live sober in many years. He accepted and it turned out to be a number 1 world wide hit!

You really should watch Rocketman, it is a great movie! Verry different to the Bohemian Rapsody movie. Elton John was very much involved in it and Taron Egerton is fantastic in it

This was 1991. GM’s “Cover to cover” tour. The first time they performed this one together was in 1985 - Live Aid. GM sang on Elton Johns “Nikita” and “Wrap her up”. Elton was on keys om Wham’s “The Edge of Heaven”. GM is a writer, producer and arranger of most of his songs. Elton John doesn’t write lyrics. He collaborates with his old friend Bernie Taupin, who writes the lyrics.

That was a one off collaboration. George was on tour at the time and Elton joined him to record the duet. BYW George wrote, arranged and produced his own music. He also covered a few songs over the years.

George wrote music and lyrics. Elton only ever writes music. For me this is my favourite rendition of this song. Love George, but the one thing I didn't like was him being annoyed with Elton for doing The Lion king soundtrack.
