OMG, when you said "this makes me wanna go skating" that's exactly what everyone was doing when this came out and yes they played hell outta the Bee Gees.. Best skating music ever. Every time I hear this brings back those carefree memories.
A week of the Bee Gees makes me happy. I grew up with their records playing in the house and my mother was WEAK when it came to Barry (the oldest that you referred to as the lead). 50 years of hits and awards makes a band trash? I think not! They were iconic. It's tragic from the 4 brothers there's only one remaining. There's a great documentary on the Bee Gees on YT if you're interested (not for the channel of course, it's 2 hours long). It's amazing how many icons they influenced, wrote for, played with, and touched. It's called This Is Where I Came In - The Official Story of The Bee Gees. The "leader" is Barry Gibb, the oldest brother of four. ( The youngest had a solo career as Andy Gibb. ) His hair is darned nice, too! Looks like Barry.

There is a sister, Lesley, the first born. She is the 'Queen Bee' 😁. She was 76 yrs old, back in January, 2021. She lives a quiet life with her family. I read that she can sing too.
Agreed. I've literally never heard someone say that the Bee Gees are trash (or anything like it) after they've heard a few songs of theirs. If they still do, they truly have no feel for music. I mean, you have to respect and recognize talent when it's in front of your face, even if it's not to your personal taste.
"Words" "Tragedy" and Barry Gibbs has the better hair of the two, but Steve Perry of Journey had the best - soft, silky and wore it down to his waist in a pony tail at the end of their time together around 1996.

Being born in 1960 I've lived in one of the best time frames in music history. I remember very vividly my older brothers and sisters listening to the hits of the 60s and being a teenager in the 70s, I heard and enjoyed all of greats of the 70s. As a 20 something I rocked out to the wonderful songs of the 80s. It's awesome to watch you figure out that even without autotune, the music from back then still makes you want to hear more.
The Bee Gees wrote lyrics that are respectful and deep. No twerking, no bitch, no f@@#, no ni##$r. Just respectful words that seem to reflect what many of us feel but have not been put into words before. They have many songs that would be perfect wedding songs, and they actually have a song called, "Wedding Day" that would be more than perfect!

It's sad that Barry is the only one still living. He was the oldest, then Robin and Maurice were twins, and then Andy was the baby (and not part of the Bee Gees). Any died at age 30, and the twins more recently.
To me the 60s-80s was the best music ever. I could not tell you an artist that is of today's time but the music they're my era the 60s through the 80s every time a song comes on I can still know the words and sing it there was no auto-tune or anything like that we didn't do no lip-syncing or anything like that this it was all natural voices no fake crap
