There is nothing quite as demotivating as losing footage over a recording bork-up or human error. When it happens I'm always -this- close to saying "fuck it" and giving up on it.
trying to relearn dante while learning how to use an arcade fightstick for the first time is actually kind of challenging for me cuz i dont know the fightstick very well. any tips max or community?
it's her forward dash. you could cross people up or avoid some projectiles while Hsien-ko's MIA in the teleport. It means her ability to wavedash forward is trickier than other characters. if you do it too soon it cancels the teleport and she kinda stays in palce.
I think Max, you should do both but instead week ofs you should do a three week period. The first week to get you back in the game and the other two to experiment or lockdown your moves. You could just put it to two, but I think an extra week could be used for using other characters if you wanted to.
Im sorry I could not find a comment you posted that wasnt in a conversation but you my good sir, have a really legit team. That extension at 7:32 to 7:45 really blew my mind. I must know how you would usually finish that combo, or did you just make that up?
Holy shit Max. I don't know which ones hurt that guy's ego more: the ones where you made crazy comebacks (like that first battle), or the ones where you just destroyed him little effort (like the second battle)
Well seeing weeks when he started using Akuma on his team and also even tried out Felicia, he seemed to really have fun with it, even if the fans might not agree. Although the other half of the fun is finding other people online who use crazy low-tier characters that happen to be very good too, and so even if he uses his same teams, at least seeing those crazy teams is another plus. I dunno, I just like to see him have fun. It doesn't matter to me how he does it, but he'll find it somewhere.
How to Ghost Rider: Delay j.S so you'll be safe, because falling. Switch between j.S, c.H and s.H-H. End blockstrings with H. chain of rebuttal or pillar if in close range. You want a pressure/anti-air assist + an assist to help you combo. If you can combo off throws in the corner, it makes everything easier. Don't end all combos with Hypers and have lots of setups. Also, H Hellfire on incoming sets up for Penance Stare. Midscreen GR sucks so use bike to push into corner. gg.
In a game like this, it's kinda hard to learn some new characters. Also, since Max is rusty as hell, he can really only stick to the characters he already already knows. Is this so hard to understand?
Just sit in training mode a lot with the fightstick. You'll get used to it even though it takes a while. I started playing Street Fighter 4 trials and KOF trials to get used to it before I went online on Skullgirls and it turned out to feel pretty comfortable for me to play with the fightstick :)
What a lot of people dont know is that ghost rider spirit of vengeance super has a lot of invincibility once he starts riding actually. I have used it to plow through a lot of full screen hypers. It works sort of like X-23 weapon X prime except no start up invincibility.
Max said it himself, Azure Lords (who replied to your comment as well) is actually really good with that team. He 'blows up Max' every so often with that team, it was just really laggy.
You can even go farther by calling ghost rider for one of his OTG assists after the Ensnarement and going for somersault kick into hyper. (I know you didn't have it in that set, but since it doesn't benefit Jill any more than Hisen-ko's Senpu Bu assist, it would be the best choice). As for the damage scaling issue, i think Machine gun spray would be the more damaging hyper simply because the minimum damage scaling of Raven Spike is just to low. If only it was a mashable hyper...
Azura I would suggest a different team order. Start with Hsien Ko, get a second bar and get her golden armor up and DHC into Jill or Ghost Rider and abuse the hell out of her assist. I think it would work a lot better that way to help open people up, especially with Jill's shenanigans. Sorta like Akuma's tatsu assist.
All of that Doctor Doom is the very reason I fear getting into a game like this. I don't want to sit there waiting for them to finish me off. Still a cool video though Max.
Well. I tried. can't even do his freaking OTGs in the middle of combo, qcf happens instead of dp. Not even talking about converting anything on the fly. Mahvel's execution is completely out of my grasp.
This is hard. I can't really choose. So, i guess I'll just give both of them thumbs up. Because both of the Injustice and Mahvel vids are good from you, Max. I'm still scared to go in Injustice because it's kind of intimidating. Mahvel, I can tolerate. I'll still watch them both then get in the groove of them both. Though I'm awful. Hey, Max, what do you think about Chris/Tron/Iron Man? It's my team...
You and I both know that it's not just about playing the game. It's about playing the person playing the game. There's only so much that you can do in the lab. You have to play good people to get to that competitive level. Plus, it can get really boring in the lab after a certain amount of time. There's a big difference in comboing in the lab and comboing when you're playing against someone. Especially online.
It's something i toy with. Jill has enough time to meet the enemy at the last blade of Chireitou and hit an Ensnarement (DP+M) into Fallen Prey (DP+L) Or Go into another hyper. If i did, Raven Spike wouldve done a little more damage since Machine Gun Spray just plain murders the damage scaling
New translations must be consistent with past translations. That rule always takes precedence in fiction, and rather often outside of it as well. Somebody took an odd decision a few decades back, but you have to respect that decision because it's what people know.
