i Agree, ive yet to seen a video for KFM that shows a real/real simulated fight that is not choreographed. We need to see what this training can really do for u in the unxpected situations. i admit tho, this is a very unique style of fighting and somethin i would def try, I practice Krav Maga, which i have no problems using in street fights, ..i'd combin both methods for these types of fights...its w/e works for u.
do some research and you would find out that the 2 keysi founders are grown up with street fights, doing several ma. kfm is the evolution of their experiences in street fights etc...and it dont stop its still evolving...
upper body Body attacks minus to the sternum, soalr plexus and kidneys dotn matter so much, if you train hard. you should be bale to take them easily. I do several styles and like the keysi head defencse as it wroks very well with my thai boxign where I use my shins to defend my body and my arms to defend my head. Of course this will require some conditioing of the shins first but has proved highly effective for me atleast.
@odin2358 i do Keysi and i assure u that the elbow is one of the strongest part of our body. if u don't move and you receive a punch on the elbow, the one feel pain (believe me i try in training) is not u!
@odin2358 haha! try punching someones elbow, it does have force i've felt it and there are no half beats full speed its a barrage that keeps on going from move to move so I would say it's faster. Try parrying multiple opponents you'll get your arse kicked, one of the KFM drills is predator which is 3 or more hitting, pushing and grabbing you parrying doesn't work in this unless you are an absolute expert with KFM you don't need to be.
@luiscofresi is not so easy rec a real fight... but i tried, and a friend of me too... believe me, that is really intresting... now u see only the top of the iceberg, the real training with real instructor will show u the real use of KFM.
