Great update skip! You're one of the only folks discussing this stuff in video form online and it was greatly appreciated when I was learning how to build panels for the first time! It seems in this video you're applying a 2d panel into a 3d cockpit? this is the "3d-panel" view in plane maker? This is very interesting to me. My setup uses a purely 2d cockpit and then a separate computer running external visuals has a 3d view over the dashboard.
Thanks Andy, If the developer uses the 2D panel then it will work even in 3D mode, don't know how that works but it does :-) I make all modifications on the 2D panel, you can't do much with the 3D panel. Newer airplanes Don't use the 2D panel so you can Not make any modifications to the pane. Not sure I understand your system, why two computers? Blessings, skip
@@WEHVideos yeah the process to make 3d airplanes is convoluted, beyond hobbyist work for sure. The two computers is because we have 6 monitors. 3 outside visual, panel, gps, and instructor console.

Thank you for your work on this. After using the AOA on the PropStrike Cessna 172 and on the Thranda DHC-2 Beaver, I really miss it on planes that don't have it. It is sad that it is not being pushed for real life general aviation aircraft. I see all these reports of low-level, low-speed crashes and wonder how many lives would have been saved if they had some type of "lift reserve indicator" in their line of site showing them their dangerous level of AOA. Maybe PropStrike would help with this as a public service since their mod is also free. Anyway, thanks again.
