A lot of weight loss Journeys, have ups and downs. You're going to lose a lot you're going to gain a bit and then you're going to keep losing. Rest assured, so long as you don't give up on yourself, you've got this.

At my highest I was 425lbs and my lowest was 280lbs I too overindulged over the holidays and am finding it so tough to stay on track I just try to focus on the life that I want in the future to get me through my workouts Watching you has truly inspired me and even given me the motivation to start my own channel to document my progress. You are simply amazing :)

You have been such an inspiration to me and I follow you religiously. I joined WW in 2016 and lost 85 pounds, but then fell off the wagon and re gained it all back plus 17 more. It took me 6 months of hating myself and punishing myself ( or calming myself) by binge eating . In April of 2019 I finally managed to re join WW at 334lbs 😢. As of my last WW weigh-in on Jan 3rd this year, I was 233lbs (-101), but we came to Florida and I am not able to attend meetings here and I am struggling a lot. I did manage to lose a bit more the first 2 weeks down here that I clocked 110 pounds lost, but I started my annual vacation on Feb 3rd and I have gained 8 lbs in 5 days. Whenever I feel depressed, and feel the binge coming, I watch your videos and I get so much strength and direction from you. Thank you for all you do. I am walking this path with you. BTW, you look amazing in this video. Love the Kale shirt. Stay strong and focused. You did it before. You will get there again

I believe even the "low fat" processed foods are addictive and cause cravings. I'm speaking of the packaged foods in general whether they are frozen meals or packaged snacks. I would suggest not eating any of them and cook all of your meals using whole foods for a while so the cravings go away and you get right back on track like when you initially started. I don't know what you ate when you first started but maybe go back and recreate each week of those meals and eat exactly what you ate week after week. You've already succeeded! Succeed and Repeat :) You've got this girl!

Agree with you on this. Long time ago, I used to have frozen dinners for lunch and I found it very unsatisfying -- and I ended up overeating. I cook healthier meals for myself and I have noticed a difference.
@DWorshipband10
@DWorshipband10 4 года назад
However true that may be cooking every meal isn’t realistic for everyone’s lifestyle.
@Krysb107
@Krysb107 4 года назад
Yes! Not only do they have addictive properties, the volume of food for the amount of calories will leave anyone hungry, therefore it’s harder to stick to small portions of them. Sticking to whole foods allows you a greater volume of food for a smaller amount of calories which makes staying in a caloric deficit so much easier!

Sarah Wood I agree! I lost 90 pounds 10 years ago, by the end of 2018 I had regained 64 of the 90llbs lost. It just crept back on over the years, little by little. As @Is said, through: you won’t fail as long as you keep trying. I’m down 26 pounds.

You got this! One of the things that i leaned from halfsize me community is there when your mental is not there she advises to set your calories or hour point to maintenance and take a break from losing weight while you do the mental work. I understand your struggle. I started IF last year and lost around 20 lbs. but after starting college, I regained all that weight back. When I tried to get back on track, it was way harder than when I first started. I used to fast 2 days in a row, but now I can’t fast for 16 hours. It was so strange but I get where you are coming from.

Entisar Nurhussen I so relate to this! Haven’t met anyone else with the same struggle! I lost 30 lbs in 3 months on IF doing 16/8 but when I started missing breakfast, I started cheating and gained all the weight plus some. 16 hours no longer works for me 😪 so I’m trying out 18/6 and finally seeing some progress. Best wishes on your journey 💗 I know it’s a struggle!

You can do it Justyn! It is really hard to get refocused once you been off program for a while, but you know you need to do this for you. Remember all the good foods you were eating before and how wonderful you were feeling, you can do it again. Planning is the number one answer, always have good food, lots of fruit and other healthy snacks available. This way you will have great ingredients to make yourself delicious meals and snacks. You've got this Justyn!😊

Thanks for sharing. Being 34 lbs lighter than your highest weight is still better than where you were before. If you can take the weight off once, you can do it again. Don't give up! I've been at a plateau for 2 weeks, not gaining or losing despite sticking to my diet. I'm weighing a lot of my food and watching calories. I know with certainty that I'm not overeating but the scale hasn't budged. I'm telling myself the same thing everyday, don't give up. Stick with it, there will always be ups and downs.

Justyn, I admire your transparency and willingness to share your journey with us. I am about the same weight as you are, and like you I have lost a good bit of weight just to put it back on and then some. I understand your frustration, but don't beat yourself up about it. I am telling you this as I am trying to keep myself encouraged and motivated. We are here now, but we aren't staying here. If we continue working the program, we will see results. I keep thinking about the massive amount of weight I need to lose and it is so easy to get discouraged. The one thing that motivates me is seeing all the amazing success stories of others. No matter how long it takes, I am going to be a success story too. And you my dear will be also. I know it won't be easy and there will be ups and downs. I am already -116 points for this week. But I am taking personal responsibility and owning it, no matter how shameful I feel about it. There is always an opportunity to make better choices and be more intentional about food. It's a process, so give yourself grace even when you slip up. This is like my 10th time signing up for WW. I always wonder what could have been if I didn't quit. This time, I will be able to find out cause I am in it for the long haul. I believe you are too. Thanks for sharing your story. I am rooting for you. I am rooting for us!

Hi there. Just wanted to suggest maybe switching to the green plan. When I struggle with motivation switching plans tends to help. Green is also good because you have to count a lot more foods but it keeps me accountable. It helped me break a plateau. I will tell you I don’t love green but I was overeating zero foods. It is helping.

I have been struggling getting back on track after the holidays too. Have you thought about switching plans? I have switched to the purple plan on ww. They suggest staying on the plan for two weeks to see if you like it. It has really helped me reset. Don’t let the less points scare you. There are so many zero points foods!! And finally my 1 piece of advice to you is STOP!!!! 🛑 stop being so hard on yourself!!!! It may take longer than some but you WILL get the weight off and KEEP IT OFF.

I can definitely identify with you. I have struggle with my weight for most of my life and I'm currently weight loss journey also. I do not want to spend the rest of life struggling with my weight so with the encouragement of my family and friends I decided to start. Before I started I was looking forward a quick fix by drinking something that will help weight loss but I realised that I have to change the way how eat and when I eat. I now do portion control, don't eat late in the evening and I drink a lot of water. I also joined a gym to help me because I recognised that I was not physically active enough. I find what is helping me with weight loss journey is that I have a cheat day which is on the very last day of every month. I so look forward for that because I love food but even though it's my cheat day I watch my calories because I can easily gain weight. I just want to let you know that you're not alone and sharing you story you're encouraging others. So keep fighting that good fight because you and the rest of us will get it right.

I also started at 290. Back in spring of last year, I lost 40lbs and weighed in at 250 even, then suddenly got off track. Over the fall/winter I gained back weight to 258. I was devastated that I was on the track back to being 290. I decided 2020 would be different and I’m determined to lose more weight. However, here I am in almost mid February still sitting at 245. It seems much harder this time and it’s really all about mind set. If you are not mentally in it, you will not get it done. I can say I’m going to eat healthy and buy healthy groceries but if I’m not fully into it mentally, I’ll have numerous slip ups. Which is where I’m at now, I’m hoping I find the motivation again so I can continue to lose more weight.

Regaining is not completely your fault! I'm currently listening to Dr. Jason Fung's Obesity Code on Audible and it's very eye-opening in terms of understanding weight loss and gain (TLDR; it's hormonal and has more to do with insulin than calories.) I'm in no way trying to tell you what to do but I will say that WW isn't necessarily a long term solution (they bank on people stopping and coming back once they've put the weight back on). I returned to WW for a few months and decided it was just a money pit. The struggle is real but don't give up!

Love your sweatshirt. I know the struggle too. But WW is best program out there I think. I'll keep watching.

Hey sweetie - I am bouncing around also. Not sure why - but I am re-starting my journey. Hang in there - things will get better. Keep your chin up - you have had a lot of stresses lately - including your big move to the new apartment.

Maybe try out the ketogenic diet? It's worked for a lot of people that I know, myself included, and it works quickly! :)

You can do it! If you’re not already, maybe consider looking into therapy for the food addiction to see if things can get a little easier. Your beautiful! I wish you all the best!

You are in a season of transition right now. Moving is a serious undertaking. Maybe you should just try to maintain your weight for the time being and revisit focused weight loss in a month or two when you are more settled at home. Also, listen to the "Half Size Me" podcast by Heather Robertson to get specific strategies to help your thinking change. Sometimes simply treading water while you reboot your mental state can make the biggest difference in your long term journey with the scale. Remember, this is for life. I have faith in you :) You can do this!!

I struggled as well for months. I decided to restart and head back to weekly meetings. Online was not enough.

I'm struggling as well. I have been having a lot of life events not going in my favor and being a emotional eater I have many bad days....and gym has been almost nonexistent but occasionally workout at home to a RU-vid video so that's good right lol..... I start the next day out strong and it take it from there. As long as I don't give up completely I'm taking it as a win.

You sure your not gaining muscle? My body gains muscle really easily either way. Still proud of you. You haven't given up. Tip: try checking your measurements as well. If you don't lose on the scale you could be losing inches. 💚
