Great shooting like always!!! While the Gamo definitely held its ground that HW80 is just in a class of its own.... Over 40 yrs in production and literally nothing has been changed on the design... That rifle was designed perfect, first time round 👍 You can just hear how solid and beautifully engineered it is when you cock it..... Best regards and thanks for the super comparison!!
Thank you 😉👍. It's a great air rifle. It has some spring twang, but that doesn't bother me, especially with the accuracy, power and build quality. I would definitely call it the King 👑 of the Break Barrel Air Rifles 👍.
Hey Chuck, I'm rewatching this video because it is one of few videos I've come across that compares Weirauch to Gamo. Which one is better? You're really comparing apples to oranges here. If money were not a factor, and I could only have one airgun, assuming it would be used for hunting, I would probably still pick Gamo over Weirauch. Weirauch airguns are definitely more aesthetically pleasing to me than Gamo. And for a fair comparison, the closest similar comparison between Gamo and Weirauch would be to compare the Gamo Bone Collector model because of the wood stock to Weirauch airguns. Even so, most Weirauch airguns are $200 to $300 more expensive and they don't come in a multi shot repeater version. My choice of Gamo over Weirauch is strictly because I know my guns would be used and take a beating. I was always pretty clumsy and carrying a six pound gun all day and falling with it is no fun but at least if I fell with a synthetic stock gun costing $200 to $300 I don't feel as bad scratching it up as I would a $400 to $700 wood stock beautifully laser engraved wood stock Weirauch. That's why I don't own a Gamo Bone Collector. I would love to have one, but I probably wouldn't use it nearly as much. Maybe when I'm older and I can afford more nice things or if I want to buy an heirloom piece and take it out on occasion. Pellets and Pistons RU-vid channel also showcases Weirauch and I have to admit, I am pretty sure I am going to get one some day. But untill then, the best I can afford is the Gamo price points. I am glad that you put out so many videos on Weirach airguns. You really have some beauties. They will definitely be on my list of airguns I need to buy!!! Stay Safe. Be Well. GOD BLESS.
Gamo is good and a good hunter, but most Gamo's have a gas springs that are more destructive to scopes, especially the Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 22, hear that has destroyed 1 scope for sure and possibly another. They do have a few Weihrauch's in synthetic, the HW97 KT, HW30s. There may even be more that I don't know about. Unfortunately my Weihrauch springer's are taking a beating, weather me carrying it, shooting it or taking it apart and putting it back together. Lastly I think wood stock especially on a Gamo it's going to help the harmonics, which will help you shoot more accurately. Lastly, I like doing reviews like this to show people the difference. At one time all I had was a Gamo and thought that high-end guns were out of reach. At certain times my finances came together and I took the opportunity to buy the best I could.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Just out of curiosity, what do you think of Feinwerkbau airguns, quality, fit/finish, pricepoint? Are you interested in them at all? I honestly don't know what I would do with one. They look so complicated and expensive that I would really be hesitant to take one out even for competition if I had the opportunity. But In my opinion, they are one of the most beautiful pieces of art. Of course that is only my opinion based on pictures and videos. I have never had one in my hands or shot one...someday. As far as Weirauch airguns , I think I am in love with the balistas high gloss red/black laminate thumbhole stock hw 97 LP TAC2. But that will have to wait too. Thanks again for your great videos. Stay Safe. Be Well. GOD BLESS.
@@kenfan5666 On "Pellets and Pistons Airgun Channel" he said that I made a much better pick with my HW77 over the FWB Sport that he reviewed. He said that the Weihrauch's where built better.🙂👍
Hi, Chuck! Walton here. My purchase of another Gamo Hornet Maxxim .22 dekk through, so I settled on a refurbed Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 in ,22. Really nice rifle.....highly accurate with Gamo 15.4 Red Fires and Crosman Premier HPHP's in 14.3 grain. I have more of the Crosmans, so they're my standard load for all of the Gamos that I own. Question: Because of the ip0en sights on the Mach 1, I opted for UTG High Ring Mounts so that they could be asily adjusted to allow the view thru a scope to ckear the iron sights. I also have a Hawke Match one-piece High Mount on order. In your opinion, what is the better of the two mounting systems for the Mach 1?
Both nice rifles. I did expect the weihrauch to outshoot the gamo to be honest. It was closer than I thought. I'm betting if there was no wind it would have made a difference. Nice shootin'.
Thank you. The wind 🌬️ is horrible up here in South Dakota. Right now it blowing 22 mph and -9°F with -42°F Wind-chill 🌬️❄️🥶🌨️. Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 is good for what it is, accurate and powerful, but the gas spring has done in (broke) 2 scopes already. The HW80 is twice the rifle of the Gamo in build quality and has never broken a scope. I'm sold on steel coiled springs because of this.
Between the Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 22 and HW80 22? Definitely the HW80 22. Yes, the Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1 22 is a few FPE stronger, but the smoothness, build quality, handling, accuracy and looks go to the HW80🙂👍.
South Dakota! I hear your Governor is pretty awesome. Always wanted to go Cowboy country. I hear Montana is great too. Hey so out of the HWs,do you like the Hw80 best?
Come on over for a visit sometime 🙂👍. Kristi is great, she takes a strong stand for our freedoms and gun rights 🙂👍. The HW80 22 is my most powerful, least pellet picky HW, and it is heavy to handle. For longer distance shooting, I pick the HW80, but for closer shooting, the HW95 🙂👍.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 someday I will. I might retire there or Montana with my wife. Thanks for providing great material. I hope more folks from the UK or Canada see your videos. They are really into air rifles.
1:50 this is way more sketchy than how I rested my Gamo before the wind threw it on the ground and bent/destroyed the scope 😅 I also think that a gas ram is also hold sensitive but in an other way/might like the rifle hold or to be held a bit harder than a springer The wind seemed to be pushing alot harder while shooting the gamo so it is hard to tell but we all know wich one we would pick 😋
You are exactly right. The Gamo requires more shoulder and to be held a little tighter, light trigger pull, with natural point of aim. The HW80 functions best with less of me. I focus on natural point of aim, very light hold and light cheek, light trigger pull. 😉👍
