Had a Beeman R1 years ago that I gave to one of my kids. Great rifle. Now I own and shoot a HW30 deluxe in .177, that is great for backyard use. Low power=easy to cock, compact and accurate. Big Weihrauch fan here.
Hello Sir and to everyone reading. Growing up, all I ever wished for, was a HW80. I was never allowed as a youngster. So, as an adult, when the time came, I just went and purchased one. Didn't even try it in my shoulder, I so wanted to own one. I've learned now Sir, pretty much what you've said. In the UK, we are allowed upto 12ftlb, without a licence. I think the fighting weight of a HW80 is around 16ftlb. So, to down tune it to 12ftlb, when a HW 95, 98 are made to shoot at 12ftlb, doesn't really make sense. .At the time, I just wanted what I thought was a great quality break barrel air rifle. Now I know I would have chosen the 95, or 98. That said, after wanting the 80 for so long, I couldn't part with it. I love the engineering quality, machining, fine tolerances, craftsmanship etc. If I ever gain a FAC licence, I may look at upgrading the 80 to around 16ftlb. I hope Ive made sense to everyone. My HW80 in .22 is doing very consistently 750 fps using FTTs l only use these, it's 18.2 ft/lb which l found to be more accurate than when l had it at 23ft/lb, the 95s l think at 12ft/lb in the UK are OK but the 99s in 177 are better, they just shoot that bit better and more accurate to, mine a touch under 12 ft/lb using RWS SUPERFIELD 8.3 grain, and the hard hitting Magnums 10.6 grain, it's so very consistent using the FX chronograph l just bought, I've been shooting since mid 80s and Weihrauch's are my fav spring gun, closely followed by the TX200, TXs are just so quick and easy to work on, but the 97 is better Engineered and more accurate once been fettled, but getting back to the 99s there the best break barrel for the money but get 177 they are lightweight so accurate, l have on mine a Hawke Airmax 30 SF 4-16x44 AMX IR there a great scope,
I don't think an FAC air rifle is worth the hassle. Just get a 177 and you will have as much velocity as this man's 20 ft lb .22 Fundamentally they aren't powerful guns anyway.
@KolyaNickD Hello Sir, Thank you for your interest, advice, and reply to my comment. I don't think I'm as experienced or as an accomplished shooter as you are. I have wondered about applying for a Firearms certificate as sometimes I feel a more powerful air rifle would do the job better for quarry further away. However, then I think, if I put more effort into being a better, more efficient shooter in 12ftlb of energy, then that may be better. As a 12ftlb of energy user, you don't need any licences in England, and as far as I'm concerned, it's a fair amount of energy to be using anyway. There are plenty of shooters on Utube who use 12ftlb to fantastic use, and that will only be with target practice, time and time again, and seeing what their air rifle is capable of and what it can do. Also, when we do practice, it will also tell us when a shot is Not on, in the interests of our quarry, as their welfare is so important too. If in doubt, leave the shot well alone. Nice video. Have a HW95 .22 luxus coming from AoA this weekend. Wanted something to compliment my R7 when shooting sparrows and starlings off the feeders. If its half as accurate as my R7 which loves H&N FTTs in .20cal I'll be pleased.
I have those rotten starlings in our bird feeder too. Every time I try and sneak up on them to get a shot at them, they fly away, lol. Now I'm trying to get them use to my noise, like turning the doorknob, knocking on the window 🪟. I feel like a old person, 😆. Lastly, I'm excited for you on your HW95 Luxus 22 purchase 😃👍.
I like my Gamo break barrels for target shooting but for Hunting I have two Benjamin Marauders that I love for their power and accuracy your HW 95 is a beautiful gun

MRod .25 Gen 1 with the green mountain barrel was my first PCP. What a gun!! I sold it to someone to get him into the sport. But, it was one of the best air guns that I ever owned.
I have the hw 95 in .177 and the hw 97 in .177 and i put a vortek in the 95. I like shooting the 97 from a bench, but too heavy to walk around with. I love my 95 and have taken many dove with it. I'm actually looking at the hw 35e, but don't really need anything else.
Well sir, I have both myself. TBH, I'll take my HW90 with its Theoben gas ram over my magnum springers any day of the week. Of course, they are all German made Weihrauch's
I have a new Beeman R9 with a barrel that angles down so far that the scope adjustment won't compensate for it. So, aim 2" high at 25 yards...so much fun. Rarely hit anything. It groups the shots very well, but never where you aim.
@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 They said I should buy a droop bar for the scope. I'm thinking the seal won't last long, since the surfaces aren't parallel to each other.
I think the "droop" or muzzle drop is between the muzzle block and the muzzle, not at the locking mechanism, it's very common in brake barrels @@burgy8010
Hi thank you for the video.. You seem to know a lot about these air rifles. I have a 97 that is about 17 flb could it be made to go up to 20 ftp ? Right now it has the Maccari spring and guide +top hat.
I have the HW77 22 and it was shooting in the high 17 FPE range, but some of that has the grease burning off. I think that 18 FPE is about as high as it will go. My HW80 22 is getting just under 22 FPE and is very accurate, if you want more power. Power wise, I shot a skunk in the head with my HW95 22, at 16 FPE, it was lights out.
Correct, the HW95 is the Beeman R9. For hunting the HW95 or the HW50 would be good for most small game hunting. Purchasing one, I go cheap as possible, that is why I have gone through Krale. I saved about 100 dollars both times that I shopped there, for the HW77 and HW30s. I would sale all of my other air rifles, Walther Parrus, Walther Terrus, Gamo Whisper Fusion Mach 1, Gamo Hornet Maxxim and Gamo Varmint for one HW95 Luxus.
@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 The thing is...this is a registered firearm here and importing them is a pain / cannot be done by everybody {Krale will not ship here just like Pyramydair etc} And selling mines would also be a pain with our regulations/ most marketplace doesn't allow it even for air rifles under 500fps...future will tell I guess

@@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Whats about the screws? Im using a stoeger airgun at the moment. And all week i have to tighten all the screws eventhough im using locktite. Its very annoying!
@@r.b.6619 Take the screws 🪛 all the way out and clean 🪥 them with rubbing alcohol, because oil on the screws 🪛 is preventing the loctite from sticking to the screws. Then use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and clean 🪥 inside of where the screws 🪛 go. Then use blue loctite.
It usually is, lol, but sometimes on a rare occasion the wind🌬️ dies down for me to do fun stuff❤️, like nail cans at 100 yards. In the country around here, we have places called "shelter belts", trees🎄🎄🎄🎄 planted in strips on purpose to block the wind🌬️. Those are the areas I like to shoot in. If I get up very early in the morning before sun rise 🌄, sometimes the wind 🌬️ is not blowing or in the evening around sun set🌄. That is as good as it gets in South Dakota, lol.
@@RealAirgunAdventures You are welcome here any time. I'm in a small town 13,000 Huron South Dakota. It's very slow paced, mostly easy going, farm country. The game around here is white tail deer 🦌, pheasants, some quail, partridge, morning doves, cottontail rabbit 🐇 and fox squirrels 🐿️. Pigeons, crows and ground squirrels on the list also.

I believe that I will use what ever pellet that I like, thank you very much. The Crosman Premier Hollow Point shoot pretty good out of most of my rifles.
