The Weihrauch HW95-N’s favorite pellet in my demo video was the Predator JSB 15.89’s and now I’m curious… I have the JSB Hades and Polymag Shorts that are the same weight, will they shoot similarly well in the Weihrauch?

I have an older HW95 WITHOUT the nice comb on the stock . That new stock on yours is definitely nicer. I upgraded to a vortek Spring and the shot cycle is much quieter . No buzzing noise like that. Well worth the upgrade .

Pellets are designed to best try and match your requirements. That Hades is just a hollow point version of the Exact Jumbo. Even at exact same weight (15.89gr) the jumbo is domed so has a better b.c making it faster = higher fpe. H/points also need a higher fpe to effectively mushroom or they're kinda pointless. So under 18 fpe use whatever pellet that goes wherever your crosshairs are pointing 😉 Nice test as always 🔫🔫

Good video! I call those things "Vi Rau" . "Vi" as in Vinyl, "Rau" as in having a loud row with someone. It is a name, so only the family could really pronounce it for us, but I think you got it "richtig" (right, in German). Great gun. Love my German Beeman also. Thanks for the video!

Accuracy is my top priority. 45 yard one shot kill shots. RWS Superdomes do great in all my guns BTW... Another German product.... Go figure.

I own many air guns including this one, I hope they continue to grow in popularity, benefits are can shoot at home for a lot of people, cheap to shoot, ammo readily available at Wally World. No ammo shortages. Springers are great, self contained, no expensive compressors or air tanks needed. Just grab and go.

I would keep that 95N. That Walnut stock looks a bit better than what's on my 95N. Those groups at 35 yards are really good not counting the flier. Seeing 4 shots in a great group puts a lot of pressure, at least for me on that 5 shot. Even more when your recording it. I'm not a believer in hunting pellets myself in springers. There's just not enough energy there to mushroom a pellet to make a difference. I go for accuracy because we're talking about squirrel and rabbit size game. I think weight might come into play as the slower heavier pellets seem to hit harder. They may not be deflected as much by a small limb on the way. All just theory. In a .177 pushing 950-1000 FPS it could expand more. If a hunting pellet is accurate enough I would use it.

You're droppin that last shot because you're peaking, I do it too and so does almost everybody else, basically you're anticipating the shot and dropping the rifle line of sight before the shot cycle is complete, people, (myself included) do it with powder burners too. Wonderful video by the way and the stock on that rifle is gorgeous👍🎯

You are doing fine at pronouncing Weihrauch. I confirm the "w" is pronounced like a "v" but some people are really nitpicking at that. It's great when you can do it like that though. Indeed the word Weihrauch means incense, however in case of the gun brand it stems from the founder Herman Weihrauch, who founded the company in 1899, hence his initials HW on all the type designations. I have recently finished breaking in my HW57. At the beginning the spring was humming and sometimes even making this high pitched vibrating sound after each shot. Eventually that disappeared after everything seemingly settled in after some 1500 shots. Now it just cracks neatly and shoots just right. It confirms my trust in the quality of Weihrauch guns. I figured it would end up shooting smoothly by itself after a while without me having to throw in a tuning kit. I really enjoyed your Weihrauch "adventures" and I hope your HW95 finds a forever home in your arsenal. Lol Cheers from Germany! 🖐😊

Always go with the most accurate, the extra energy or extra penetration doesn't matter if you can't hit the vitals....

I was a huge fan of airguns and my 20's and my first Weihrauch was HW90. Gorgeous airgun, but I just couldn't deal with cocking spring breakers so I sold it and bought a PCP. Later that got replaced with 22LR with suppressor. Its more quiet and powerful but more important I just forgot how mediocre the accuracy is on some of these airguns is. On my last outing I took it out to get it sighted in and put 5 shots under 1/2" at 40 yards with CCI standard velocity. (~1030fps with 40gr bullet). I do have another Weihraugh PCP HW100 in .177, its leaking air and has really heavy / huge aftermarket stock. I found a pellet (AA/JSB) that put 5 of them in to literally one hole at 25 yards! This was in my backyard so I am limited in distance. Unfortunately there is air leak and I haven't fixed it in 10 years so its been collecting dust and not having a place to shoot it is a main problem.

I hear the same thing in my HW95N videos. I don't even notice it while shooting anymore and you can see it's not effecting accuracy or power.

The buzzing noise comes from the new rifles. My HW57 did the same at the beginning, but it gradually stopped after some 1500 shots. I refrained from giving it a tuning kit even though I was tempted mind you but now I am satisfied without it. My conclusion form this experience is that a tuning kit is definitely a nice thing but at least with a Weihrauch it is not an imperative necessity if you are willing to take the time to break it in. The Weihrauch quality allows for that.

Nice gun, did you secure the stock bolts with thread locker? Im do on all mine springers. They vibrate loose over time and precision is way out when loose bolts

Shooting Hades from my Impact, they do much better at 750fps and up. At 700 fps, 1.5" groups at 50y, but at 750fps, 1/2" groups, so they may not be best for that springer. Bigger groups from that Weihrauch might be hold issue I've not acquired that artillery hold I hear they need, but I also don't ride a penny farthing bicycle.

Wondering which pellets to use for testing? I'd suggest you start with the ones that Hard Air Magazine uses. For instance, Angie, they use these for your favorite caliber (.25): * JSB Exact King 25.39 gr * JSB Exact King Heavy 33.95 gr * Predator GTO lead-free 16.54 gr * Predator Polymag 26.0 gr

Boy that rifles got a real twang to it! Typical of these I'm afraid. Needs a strip down and sorting. I certainly couldn't put up with that.

For a rifle costing that much you would think it could do better that. Should try those super cheap Crosman hollow points 14.3 grains all my 22's love them . Boutique pellets are not always the hot set-up . I know a lot of air gunners brag about these rifles and I'm not putting them down like the way most people look down there nose at budget rifles . Luckily we all have choices . Just saying. :) 🤔

Angie have you found any rifles that actually like the poly mags? I own several pcps and springers. I haven't found a rifle yet that shoots them consistently. Ive not seen enough promise to try and tune for them.

I'd use the H&N FTT pellets, at the speeds the HW95 is capable of the hollowpoints don't really expand much anyway. I'd rather have penetration than expansion in air rifles anyway👍

That gun sounds bloody awful!. Stevie Wonder must be working for HW fitting the spring guides!!. Its disgraceful you spend all that money and you get crap fitting internals.
