In this video I grow metal out of the tip of my finger. I show you how to grow tin dendrites, then I take it a step further and see if I can actually use electrolysis and use my finger as the electrode and make tin metal grow right out of the tip of my finger!

I'm an engineer at an ECU manufacturing plant. Tin dendrites is something we have to watch out for and prevent as it can cause a short in the ECU and potentially kill your vehicle. Typically we apply a liquid rubber (conformal coating) over sensitive areas of the board.

This is often the reason why some electronic circuits suddenly fail, sometimes after months or years in operation. Circuits that were soldered with a tin alloy solder will sometimes develop "tin whiskers" that spontaneously grow between electrical connections and eventually result in a short circuit. This problem drives manufacturers crazy!

Something awesome I noticed from Glass and various other patterns like this is that it seems the path is predetermined on moment of charge. The microscopic view looks as if they are influencing each other. But they aren't. At a point when watching it kinda all lines up to a stop. Then the influencer is coming in from the bottom or at least it's what it looks like... However you can notice that as we follow that influencer I described the previous focusing branches interlink to a point where they can't go further due to this influencer but what I find most interesting is... The paths are straight as it's the most direct route however that makes our influencer description void as it is traveling up to that point again as a direct path! So that makes the tree in its final point determined the moment you channel the current into the dish. (Not that every tree would be identical no matter the dish but in the sense that once you choose the dish and run a current 1 direction it would follow the points initially reacted with from the electricty. Like a plasma ball I guess but with where nothing can be... So that's why even if u had stupifying power you will still have shards and not powder when shattering glass. Even if the shards are as small as powder.)
