It's strange how the people who worked on this show will never be able to fully understand the extent to which this changed my life. Thanks for uploading these :)
I find it funny how even though they were basically winging it with putting characters on the Zodiac, I've seen people predict every single one of them except McGucket
I mean most of them are obvious. Stan’s hat, Soos’ question mark, Dipper’s pine tree, Mabel’s shooting star, Robbie’s stitched heart, Gideon’s pentagram are all pretty clearly associated with a specific character. The six fingered hand was obviously the author. The only weird ones are Wendy with the ice bag (though considering that Wendy is the only main character missing it wasn’t hard to guess she was SOMEWHERE on the wheel), and Pacifica as the llama, which makes NO sense lmao. The glasses were a cheat though, like they were so clearly meant to be Ford’s specific glasses that Stan found in Carpet Diem lol
@@cartoonishidealism582 It kinda makes sense that Pacifica is the llama(we see a picture of llamas in the Northwest Mansion mystery" also we see her in the lost legends comics having a llama doll
I think people latched until Pacifica because they saw how she had been twisted in a way to be who she is by her parents and is in a borderline abusive if not abusive household
Thanks for uploading all these. Need to go watch my old boxset and check out the new book. Even in the background of the super satisfying mech fight, just hearing McGucket's gleeful "GET 'EM, GOBBLEWONKER!" like he's weaponizing all his madness and suffering makes me misty-eyed
Two series set in this world which I've both wanted, and not, are a prequel series set many hundreds of years ago revolving around Bill's previous victims, and a sequel with Stan and Ford exploring the world in their boat. I picture them both as adult cartoons. As far as I've really thought about the first, prequel series, I think it'd have a generally darker tone. There would have to be a character for each symbol on the zodiac too, I think. I think itd be cool to imply some kind of time loop, where bill is defeated by "reincarnations" of the same people (if not literally, then just thematically). The second series would be pretty much the same tone as gravity falls, but with extra freedom afforded by actually being tagerted toward adults without having to air on the disney channel. A lot of the time, family properties turned adult series turn out really awful, but I think Alex has the restraint to not take it too far.
A bit unfortunately to me, the weirdest and most fun Bill got for me was actually during his first appearance in Sock Opera, they made him very wacky and all over the place and i wish they kept with that
I understand what you mean but I feel like if they kept that up for the whole show I feel like it would make him a lot less threatening as the main villian and it just would make him sort of underwhelming
Your life mine a million others is OG fans are having kids now the animation industry the fans of Owl house amphibia star v ghost and Molly all inspired by GF plus Rick and morty and inside job. And there are kids now raised on every show I listed who have not made shows yet The Legacy will stretch for generations
I love this show, but let me get this straight. Getting everyone together with the zodiac was pointless. Pacifica getting her manor back was pointless. Dipper trying to get a girlfriend was pointless. DID THIS SHOW HAVE ANY POINT AT ALL?!
1) The zodiac, while logical wouldn't have been nearly as satisfying as Stan fixing a problem, he (sort of started) 2) Pacifica getting her manor back wasn't about the property it was about her growing as a character 3) A MAJOR part of Dippers character ark was him learning he and Wendy were JUST FRIENDS (and if you were talking about Pacifica that's about dipper being nice to her) 4) while you might dislike the show, it definitely has a point thank you for reading
also unrelated but why are you always complaining about how "trash this show is" on the DVD commentary. Like if you dislike the show and want to share it, good for you, but why HERE?
@@UrpabaDaGoat Well, I guess I can look at it this way. If Dipper had gotten the girl, he would have had to either destroy all magic creatures in the Multiverse or be a lesbian. Either way's fine with Disney.
