The former, yes, the latter, no. In reference to Peterson, I believe he is a knowledgable individual. However, knowledge can only get you so far. It is not enough to simply know the ways of the mind. What good is psychology if we are simply accidents in a meaningless world? It is not until that knowledge of consciousness brings us to acknowledge the Creator OF that consciousness that it can properly be traded in for the highest form of intellect, which is wisdom. :) Thanks for the comment!

I think the reason Jordan Peterson is so popular is that young men in particular have felt acutely negatively affected by the way the world has gone in the past 10-15 years (really it's longer than that but it seems to have come to something of a boiling point recently). The "boxes" the world has created for itself don't just not work from a spiritual perspective but they also don't work from a worldly perspective in the long run, which we are at the end of that "long run" now. Among the people who listen to a lot of Jordan Peterson, there is a movement growing very very fast in our generation that basically advocates a major return to tradition. "Returning to tradition" might sound good but it's not grounded on anything other than young guys who don't like the world we live in now and so wish to return to a world of the past. You'll see a lot of these guys going to Catholic and Orthodox churches because those churches haven't gone woke and kept tradition. The problem, in my view and I think you would agree, is that tradition without the glory of God being the bedrock is ultimately futile. (And the Catholic and Orthodox churches place tradition de facto over the Bible) "Has the Lord AS GREAT delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than to sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity as idolatry" (1 Samuel 15:22-23 ). We need our generation to first turn to God, and then turn to tradition. (This is what the end of Psalm 51 talks about: when David repents of being with Bathsheba; verse 19: "then will you [the Lord] delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your alter.")

​@@burntheboxesI understand, yeah really.. intelligence is actually different from wisdom, since the first is more related to IQ, solving problems... the latter has to do with deeper things, such as being prudent and always seeking to please and get closer to our Lord and creator, Jesus Christ
