Masdar City offers many economic, social and environmental benefits to companies looking for opportunities in the UAE and Middle East. This short 3-minute video in English highlights why!
The problem is this entire city is centrally planned from the bottom up by the government and it's funded by oil money. Every country, or even most countries, don't have this sort of wealth to fund such massive new projects.
Building things from scratch is not good for environmental sustainability. It would be nice to see some of these innovations integrated into existing cities though!
It is great to create this city. I hop every country in the world make one. They will grow up fast, and they will reduce using oil. Also they will protect our natural. I am going to plane to go this city when I visit UAE
Seems like a great model for the rest of the world. The problem is this city was able to be created through the massive wealth the government has from oil profits. Most countries don't have those sort of funds to build such massive new projects...nor will anyone in the future when we're no longer relying so much on oil.
Seems like a great place to retire and live the last couple of decades of your life in a exciting, stimulative, clean, harmonious, stress free, culturally advanced ecological city. Where do i sign up?
but why do you think it is stress-free? I wouldn't like to live there. I like nature, forest, lakes, parks with birds and squirrels and other living things. I feel stress-free in those kind of spaces and not in modern white fake city.
@@ishakak147 the city has a lot of parks and the design alone is stress-free, it's true that it doesn't offer green fields and stuff, but don't forget that the desert is also a really beautiful part of the nature
Masdar city is located next AD airport where the international market rich within hours. The building is powered by clean energy and designed to reduce energy and water consumption by 40%. masdar city will expand were over than 90000 people live and work including clean and smart transportation systems like electric cars.
Honestly, it's sad because instead of starting to fix the issues therefrom railways and transportation, America wouldn't even want AD to build this in the US, even though the dream in UAE is to help make all the world cleaner, not just UAE, we started building in other countries to help in sustainable energy too. But America doesn't want the best for its people. Thats why they dont want to even allow our airplanes there, they know it will make their own airlines lose because of that. IT's quite dumb they dont want anyone to improve their country or ask for help like other Eroupian or asian countries did. UAE wouldnt say no. Even if they asked us to share our knowledge with them to improve their airways and clean energy infrastructure. WE don't think of us we think of the world as a whole. Because it's our home. And we share that home. And we want everyone to breathe cleaner air and eat better food.
I thought Masdar City was designed to be a city without cars. Why are there streets with cars in this new city animation? Also the buildings are not as close to each other like originally planned. Now it looks more ordinary.
sadly I haven't been there yet. I know from videos that the buildings that are already build are very close to each other. But in this new virtual view of the complete city you can see cars in the street. These cars and streets haven't been there before.
I'm not even Emirati but I can't wait for UAE to become a secular country, they have huge potential to become the best country in the whole Middle East. The amount of power religion still have in politics is the only thing holding them back but with the new generation that has better education and is more open minded compared to previous ones I won't be surprised if they make it happen sooner than later. In Kuwait there's already a lot of open debates about secularism
Hello. I want to use this video. I'm producing educational contents for middle school students. It is never used commercially. I also sent an email about it. Please check. Thank you!!
+DingDong ImUrKingKong I agree. Another bullshit Arab fantasy. What about the vast amounts of energy it took to build? This is yet another project pumped full of money that's going nowhere.
You mean religious freedom? Meaning freedom to worship as one pleases, or not at all. Banning religion is just as bad as theocracy, genius. Both would by tyrannical.
Good afternoon, TeenTech would like to use your Masdar City promotional video for a youtube streamed Educational session in the UK for children between the ages of 11-18. For more information about the organisation please visit our website: www.teentech.com/ Hope you will be agreeable for us to use you amazing futuristic city as an example of the city of tomorrow. The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilised society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human being to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries.
***** Just helping you out, man. You say you're a mature adult. If that's true, it's important to type like a mature adult instead of a teenage 'boi.' ;)
***** Why are you mentioning your age if you behave and think on a younger level? Age is suppose to be a representation of experience. If you, a claimed old man, have less wisdom then me, a senior in high school, then by mentioning your age, the only significance you indicate is the impending downfall of your life, and your lack of proper education. Is there something wrong with the expression of non-american culture? A tip of wisdom: don't judge a book by its cover.
***** Hah, not mentally, unless you're just bad at grammar. To give you some credit, I'm a shit speller, and would die if it wasn't for auto-correct. I was never really a fan of DBZ. I'm more interested in story and developed characters. I do like Berserk. Honestly, I'm a bit picky when it comes to anime. I like Kirito's design, plus SAO is one of my favs. Besides, my GF's profile picture is Asuna. Kirito complements that.
