This is one of my favorite channels to watch on RU-vid. I find myself getting lost in your videos quite often. One minute I’ll be watching a video on Type 56 AKMs then hours later, I’m watching a video on Plum AK-74 furniture haha. I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Great information. The best are channels where people have as much love for the mechanics and history of firearms they are discussing as I do. Keep up the great work. I feel the same way that Misha does, I own several firearms but I love the history and mechanics of them. Shooting is fun, but can be expensive. I love to just handle old historic guns, learn the history of them and just marvel in the mechanics / design. Thanks for the information and great work you do, keep up the great work Misha!!

By far the greatest modern firearm historian for the common man. Mishaco is an inspiration and has touched many lives with this his boundless knowledge. In regards to firearm history and hands-on knowledge, if Mishaco doesn't know it, its probably not worth knowing, other than what Ian over at Forgotten Weapons knows. I already feel like I have a PhD in small arms and I didn't pay a penny other than watch these wonderful videos. Thank you Mishaco!

I just wanted to say 2 things: 1, your knowledge is amazing and your presentation style is great. I've been binge watching for a while now and youtube is a better place with you on it. 2, it's inspiring to see a blind person on here. I'm legally blind (and getting worse) but I too enjoy firearms, the 2nd amendment and the history that naturally attached to various arms. Thank you sir!

Who are the 17 (as of the date I watched this 3/9/20)that thumbs down this man's video ? If you were him you probably couldn't /wouldn't be able to bear life let alone do half the things this gentleman's accomplished considering his sight loss. I for one know that I probably wouldn't view life in the same manner. I've been following Mishaco (I'm glad he straightened out the way its pronounced) for some time now and have always wondered about his story and I'm glad he did this video. My gosh! Very impressive that you did so well in selling guns and especially obtaining an FFL. I'm even more impressed that you own or co-own a business. I assumed you weren't born blind. 1000 respects for your accomplishments. I taught at universities overseas and was never really interested in guns especially during my 14 years in S. Korea and Japan. I was considering living permanently in Japan because I still love almost everything about it. Their societies are quite a contrast to ours. I walked and rode a bike/scooter/motorcyle anywhere at all hours of the night and day in Korea and never had a problem. I never felt afraid. So guns were the last thing on my mind. I shot a 94 .32 WS 1909 rifle in 1981-82 only once in the desert as a 15-year old that my dad eventually gave me a few years ago. The recoil of the rifle at that time was something I neither understood or cared about. That and firing a .22 by accident in 1984 in my room that went through a wall and dinged a house's antenna were my only previous experiences with guns. Before returning to the US, I became interested in self defense and other related issues. Back in 2011-13 there was a lot of talk about collapsing economies, potential chaos in many countries, and my Korean-American roommate had worked in derivatives for Bank of Scotland. So I was in a completely different environment, living in one of the best parts of Seoul. My life turned almost 180 degrees, culturally speaking. I had to return to the US for persnonal reasons. My cousin got me interested in guns a few months after returning to the US. After that, I became very interested in guns and the culture. I would go to indoor shooting ranges several times a month. At that time, I only had a pistol but I later purchased an AR, rather reluctantly, at a shot show. I felt that something was going to happen that would make them illegal soon, so I felt I should get at least one AR. Unfortunately, my predictions proved correct so I wanted to do my part to stop the nonsense. After becoming a volunteer to overturn gunmageddon "laws", I overheard an acquaintance and a stranger talk about AKs like experts talking about engines. I was impressed and invested a little in an AK-47 and an AK-74. Now I am really interested in doing business with guns. I've thought about getting an FFL and even working at a gun store. Unfortunately, I live in one of the worst and most restrictive counties in CA, and the demographics aren't helping to turn the tide. I was probably an unlikely candidate for the appreciation of guns, but people like you help others to understand and appreciate them. You truly are an inspiration to, I'm sure, many of us!

Neat channel find in 2020 during my quarantine. I'll be tuning in as I'm a milsurp collector and got a thing for the oddball rifles that you've actually reviewed on this channel. Also looking to retire near future to Northern Arkansas, get my FFL and sell guns myself. Ha, imagine that! Great channel. Keep up the good work.

Awesome channel. I love learning about old military firearms. I see you have cats and I'm a cat lover to. It's amazing that you are into guns even though you are blind. I'm glad you are into guns because you are good at explaining individual firearms and the history of them. I used to collect old military guns. I also used to be a police officer and I had a good life. Almost three years ago at the age of 33 a car accident almost killed me and now I'm paralyzed high up my spine. I can still use my arms though. It's not easy for me to shoot rifles and shotguns anymore but I manage. What bothers me the most is losing my independents. I can't survive without help now and there ain't many willing to help. I often think about ending things but I have no right to complain. You have had to overcome a lot more by far than I will have to and you have done a lot of great things in your life so far that many people who can see couldn't do. Keep up the great work with the channel.

Awesome video, I was hoping you had something like this. I always thought the sunglasses were just a character thing, youre motions seem very fluid and I never thought you had youre disability. I think its amazing and also inspirational that you do what you love and have this channel despite youre situation. I instantly thought "what a interesting hobby for a blind man to have." And i then realized that i love shooting guns for the feel, the sound, the concussion, and the mechanics. Not just being able to put small holes in paper with varying accuracy. So it gave me some insight which I thank you for. And also thanks for making me want to build an FAL.

I recently stumbled across one of your videos on the evolution of Arisika rifles as I've been attempting to educate myself on various vintage World War 2 weapons. Since then, I have been watching as many of your videos as I can. I appreciate your historical and mechanical knowledge of the firearms from the World War 2 era and your willingness to share it with newbies to the hobby such as myself. My son is also a history buff and has an interest in starting a collection of World War 2 guns. He graduates from college this year so to acknowledge that accomplishment I purchased an Arisaka Type 38 and a Winchester M1 Garand to help him start his collection of World War 2 guns.
