Welding foot pegs on 79cc Occ chopper! (I GOT A WELDER!!) 

Amazing I got a Lincoln electric flux core welder and it’s a beast I’ve loved the couple years I’ve had it you really got to play with the heat and speed of the wire to get the best beads Also reversing the polarity is something to do.

*GRANDPA SAYS* You're not going to like the pedals down low like that. He says they are going to hit the road when you lean the bike around curves. He suggested you raise the pedals up so your feet is as high as the top of the engine. Then use a piece of flat stock and weld from one pedal to the other and use the frame as a stop so the pedals won't go any lower. Then weld a couple of pieces of round stock or rebar into a "v" shape and weld on the pedals underneath the bike and weld a flat piece on the bottom of the "v" to support the weight of the bike and use this for the kick stand. When you want to ride to bike the kick stand folds underneath the bike when you push the pedals forward against the frame. Pedals in the ride position / kickstand up. Kickstand down / pedals pulled back over motor. I hope this doesn't sound too confusing, Grandpa said it would be easier to build than explain.

hey man if you grind the weld on the peddle sprocket it will come off pretty quickly

I found a way to bolt it so I can adjust it but thats basically the same thing I did also thats a great welding setup for a beginner Edit and im fairly certain the frame is steel or iron because they rust and aluminum doesn't rust so you should be good to weld on it

My great uncle was a welder. He'd call those last welds "gorilla welds" as in they're big, ugly and strong. 🤣🤣🤣

turn you heat up a little and if it is still splattering then lower your wire speed EDIT: generally if you burn through it is too hot so lower the heat and also wire speed to get rid of splatter, i will dm you some messages on insta of my welds

Love the build man doing the same but with a 212 and on a bike called the diamondback drifter it’s like your bike but have to make frame mods so excited for it to finally work but it’s probably gonna take a month or two

You CAN remove the sproket! You have to grind the center part on the non pedal side flush all the way down to the sproket. Then use a hammer and beat on it. Itll pop right off.

been looking for a welder myself, I saw that model, is that the one that can do lift tig too? NM it's a flux welder. The one I'm thinking of was an MMA welder.
