Aye sup bro yeah I got me a chopper bike slap the 50cc for my kids to cruise around in when everything was said and done change light to change was very clearing the tire, how do you fix that do I have to buy another motor mount to skip to the left
The key on the spline and inner pully, is it enough protruding after you put the sleeve to engage into the engine shaft? I just got my 30 series yesterday. Gonna put it on a honda gx100. Needs same shaft adapter or sleeve 5/8 to 3/4 and im worried the key will not seat very far into the grove on the shaft. Maybe i should run a pin through the sleeve and shaft? Idk. How is it working out for you?
know i'm late but just wanted to give a bit of info in case you wanted to get more outta your 79cc. mill 50 thousandths off your head, and clean up the intake and exhaust ports (they are horrible stock) lap your valves afterwards. put in 22lb springs, upgrade carb to a 19mil, you can get a billet flywheel from arc racing, but it comes with only a 4 degree advance (you'll want to advance it a bit more. YMMV depending on engine but i've found mine prefers around 30 to 32BTDC. you can do this by shaving the key, but honestly the 79cc uses a tapered shaft so the key is kida pointless anyways) doing this will bump up your hp to around five and a half. you can squeeze more out of it, but more than this is gonna require a new cam, which since agk discontinued their 79cc reground cams, means you'll need to find a local shop to do it. i'll post the lobe durations and such just in case, because getting the cam done REALLY wakes this motor up. my current cammed motor makes around 8 horsepower and revs north of 9000.(planning on doing an overbore and stroker on it eventually). and last but not least, THROW THAT TORCH SPARK PLUG IN THE GOD DAMN TRASH. (seriously, they suck and can fry your coils) oh, one more thing, this motor lives for higher gear ratios. shoot for a final drive ratio of somewhere around 9 or 10:1. CAM SPECS- Intake- .224"lift, 219* duration Exhaust- .231" lift, 222* duration
Good job. Motorizing a bicycle is an up hill climb all the way. Lots of grinding and twisting, but it can be done. Built 11 choppers with the 80cc kit. It got easier after each build. Mmmm... you can install foot rests on the forks. Good luck
When ya buy a China made engine of any kind even before you install it, it would be wise to tear it down completely and inspect/check everything, clean it up, and re-assemble it!
Hi, I saw the last video and yo mentioned an extra spacer. So do you end up putting the extra spacer yes or no, and if the answer is yes, you just put another spacer, build one by your self and if that is the case what measure do you add?
Your wire brush idea was very helpful. The paint stripper i got wasn't very effective but i softens up the paint enough for the wire brush to remove it with ease. It also does wonders removing rust. Till now i was just sanding dry paint with sand paper. It was a pain in the ass. Thanks a bunch man!
When you push the wheel up it makes the chain longer therefore you can take a few links & put it back together then pull the tire however much needs to be.
