Welding my 7x12 ft trailer Yes I know I could of gotten that dump trailer. But that can come in time. I don’t want to be that guy with the new truck and trailer but no work... or not enough demand.
Congrats bro. I had a utility trailer that I bought used from Craigslist. I ran it to the ground and after 5 yrs finally got a dump trailer best purchase for my business I have ever done.
Thats the best mod you can do to trailer. Its still lighter than a dump trailer and you can haul almost twice the debris. Only thing that sucks is the time it will take to unload it but thats okay because its less dump runs you will have to make. Good stuff as always and i wish nothing but the best for you and your business!
nice trailer! that will serve you for a long time. Once you get sick of hand unloading it will be time for the dump! plus you need a bigger truck to haul the dump. As you know its one thing after the other with a small biz!
Unloading by hand takes a lot of time and labor 😅 we use tow straps to pull out the debris all at once at the dump. But I have my eyes on a few trucks and trailers. Even chippers and dump trucks. But for now, I’ll work with what I have. Thank you my friend 🙏🏽
Right move. I wouldn’t bother with a dump trailer. The one you bought is awesome. Make sure you invest in some signs for the sides that have your name and number. It’s a moving advertisement
I’m working on getting 3 signs for the trailer as we speak my friend 🙏🏽🌲🌳🌴 I feel very happy with this purchase. The dump trailer, chipper, and that Cummins will come in time
I wouldn't say don't bother with a dump trailer. Obviously your not in the business and don't spend any time at the dump. With a dump trailer, you simply roll up open the doors, press button and it's unloaded. With a regular utility trailer, you either hand unload it or you have to rig the load so you can pull it out at the dump. Sometimes the rigging comes undone, sometimes whole load doesn't come out, you have to wait to hook the load to whatever is pulling the load at, or any other number of time wasting alternatives. So rather then say you wouldn't bother, just say it's not the right time. I promise you nobody with a dump that used to use a utility trailer would ever go back to a utility trailer or tell you it wasn't the best money they ever spent on a trailer.
@@justpalms9978 I’ve been doing landscaping for over 20 years in CT and now in Florida. Yes I have spent time at the dump and I put a tarp down and drag it off. Don’t disrespect me by saying I’m not in the business and haven’t been to a dump. How much did you pay for your dump trailer?? How many times to you have to move forward when dumping it because it is so low to the ground? You aren’t adding the cost of what you paid for your dump trailer to your price because no one would pay extra. Yes you might save 5 minutes at the dump. Big deal.
@@daisydomergue9327 I've met guys like you over the years. Your the same kind of person that would push mow an acre with a 21 inch mower and complain that the guy next door that shows up with 60 inch z and say there's no advantage or justification to invest in a z.
@@justpalms9978 stop pretending to know me you troll. If your so busy with your business it’s funny you have time to be on here you clown. Go pay for that useless trailer. Those trailer aren’t meant for palm fronds try putting a load of dirt or sand in it and then dump it. Let me know how you make out.
