Ran my first few marathon training blocks in Altra going back to 2009. Ran the Boston to Big Sur Challenge in the One. So, I'm torn that Altra went to 4mm. I'm sure their new owners had something to do with it.

It took me by surprise also. At first I didn’t believe but here we are. There’s a 2.0 and a trail one. I can’t help but think this is what Topo has been all along. Am I the only one? That said, I’ll still reach for my Torins and Lone Peaks while still having fun on these

As a forefoot striker who rarely wears down the heel at all would you think these would work for me?

@@jordanriley708 yes. I’ve worn them for nearly every activity from walking for many hours to standing at work for many long shifts. I’ve run in them at various speeds. I typically am a mid foot striker with a neutral arch. I tend to land on the outside of my forefoot and not my heel. These feel fast, energetic and peepy. That’s even after a long break in period. The rocker sole and slight drop works well. I’m also happy that the foam here ISNT mushy. Give them a whirl. They’re on sale 😀

@@RunningDadAdventures thanks! I strike with the outside front part of my foot and rotate down which isn't ideal but it's me lol. I basically destroy the part of shoes right on my pinkie toe so altra with the wide box has been helpful

Same here. You look at any of my shoes and the lateral forefoot is bald. Toes 3,4,5 see all the action. I laugh when I see the race pictures from photographers and see my foot at a near 30-45 degree angle supination down. Altra is good IMO for most things. High drop shoes (8-10mm) accentuate this, I feel, and worsens as I fatigue Awesome stuff. Love this topic!
