In this video I review my experience with Wellbutrin and side effects over the first 7 weeks. I've been documenting my antidepressant experience for others to empower others in their own experiences. In my Wellbutrin review I talk about why I have switched to Wellbutrin and update in real time about how I am feeling over those first 7 weeks.

Interesting video diary... Sometimes I wish I did that for my own record. Also DK vibes in the video after the bday ❤

I used to consistently keep a video diary for everything. It's been less consistent over the years, but the only ones I've ever looked back at were the videos where I talk about my pregnancy and kids. It's just a nice release to get everything out of my head. But with this I knew I wanted to make a video to document the experience for others. Though, it helped me understand better how the med was working for me so I highly recommend it. ♥️

So I’ve been on Wellbutrin for 10 days today and I feel like it makes me more anxious at times or have like nervousness I feel like more agitated at times I also feel like Hyperfocused on things but to note I do believe I have add I had adhd as a child but the hyperactive part kinda went away so I don’t know if this is a hump with the medication I need to get over but ugh it’s just frustrating

thank you for doing these videos lauren ❤ they have been so helpful for me in getting some insight on different SSRIs! My GP has recommended i try paroxetine/paxil for my panic disorder and anxiety.. but i’ve read lots of things abt the withdrawal symptoms. i’ve noticed in ur videos u mention your psychiatrist, do u think it’s a good idea for me to get a referral to talk to a psychiatrist about the different types of medications/find one that works for me.. because i feel like part of the support systems needed to support the journey of taking meds for anxiety/depression is way less scarier if u have a trusted psychiatrist.. what do u think?

I'm so glad you appreciate these videos!! I personally went to a psychiatrist because they specialize in this area. While GPs can absolutely prescribe, comparably they just aren't as equipped and experienced in these medications. These are all my opinions from my own experience, not med advice - so you have to do what you feel is right for you!

At the very end of your video, when you’re talking about how you don’t believe that anti-depressants can change your personality; I just thought I’d share something. So since you were on a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, that causes emotional blunting meaning you feel like you don’t feel like you can cry anymore or maybe you don’t laugh as much anymore, basically dulling and dampening of emotions. Wellbutrin on the other hand causes a reuptake of Dopamine which is responsible for emotions. So whenever you get an increase in dopamine, you will experience all of your emotions and you will also feel like yourself again because it controls personality as well!

Thanks for sharing. I understand what you mean! I also know people are very worried about this fact and I was trying to be honest about how I feel regarding these meds. I hope it helps someone
