You should patent that seal puller! Thanks for sharing...No-nonsense engine work, and to the point. It really helps us that have old saws that aren't worth too much, except to us. I may have to do this to my Dad's old Homelite 150. Leak-down test possibly first.....it runs, just not the power I remember (of course that was about 40 years ago...). Thank You.
I have a question. You said you put grease in the groove holding the seal spring to hold the spring in the seal. Is that correct? Normally, I just put a little grease on the sealing surface of the seal and try to get it over the stepped edge of the crank before seating it and seat it flush with the top rim of the case. Am I screwing up?
