You know this reminds me of a dream I had In a world where the west still occupied Germany in the west East Germany with swabian nationalists and Bavarian ones started a revolt in west Germany and a Vietnam style war insued And for some reason in timeline Germany was stil foresty so the fighting draged on until swabjans took strassbourg in France which made them flee to the Rhine Then swabja and Bavaria gained independence under collectivist catholic states And east Germany did the same in the north Then the allies started trying to wipe out Germans in the Rhine territory So the war recontinued The struggle kept going until it was 2000 and the allies retreated with them still occupying alsace but with strassbourg and other cities liberated Boths sides took hits since the central Asian part of the USSR colapsed and that only And the rocky mountains of the us colapsed So it slugged on Was an interesting dream before it cut to amongus got 2 solid minutes
Well east germany wasn't really much as a huge industry nor did it have the population to fight west germany. Most of the factories in 1945 were in west germany. They were damaged but they were rebuilt over time. While the east had to build their own factories. Plus west germany had Ruhr. But the eastern Germans had a stronger and bigger military with soviet equipment. So in this case it's about time. If the east Germans were fast enough they would win the war. If they were slow they would lose. For everyday west germany is in the war they produce more military equipment than east germany
