I’m great friends with Shirley’s son Zach and he’s a wonderful, loving, compassionate, peaceful and awesome guy. He left WBC several years ago and told me Shirley was very toxic and emotionally/physically abusive towards him and his siblings growing up. There was a lot of tension between them. The day he left, Shirley cried hysterically and begged him to stay. His father grabbed him by his arm and threw him in the other room and yelled at him, threatened him, and said he’s nothing without the church. While Shirley was crying in the other room, Zach told his dad that he’s done with hatred, he’s done with Topeka, and he’s done with them. It was a very emotional and intense altercation. Part of Zach felt guilty for leaving and he began to cry as well, but he grabbed his things, stormed out of his house, and didn’t look back. He said it was the best decision he’s ever made. He’s doing very well today and advocates peace, love, spirituality, and acceptance ♥️

And anyone who disagrees is entitled to their own opinion, but just don't force it on others and don't ridicule them or shame them for who they are. I was born in a very similar cult and let me tell you, it’s fucking awful. You can’t question things and if you do, you get in trouble. You can’t trust anyone there. Recently my gay cousin Francis was in a car accident. My mom told me with tears that his fate was uncertain. An hour later, I prayed to god that he not be takin from me, even though I’m personally an atheist. A few minutes later, my mom came back to me and said that they told her that he was going to be ok. By this group’s logic, that means either god doesn’t exist, he actually loves gay people or he’s just really bad at his job. Either way… they lose.

Bourgeoisie and Corporations can be just as bad as Governments and I do not trust the economic "Market" to self regulate.
