Anthony you can't just give it a 14/10 because he included your favorite painter in the title

Just because Westside Gunn is a little fat doesn’t mean you can call him a “buffalo” rapper, Anthony.

I bet Hermes is glad they get that ringing endorsement from a well-known historical figure

Quite upsetting to see you trash the album then proceed to give it an 8/10 for the Hitler mention in the title but go off

this would have been a perfect time for the half red, half yellow flannel

I love his taste in instrumentals. It's not common to see someone who doesn't produce his own stuff but still has such an eclectic and left-field taste in instrumentals. He Is great.

you really should've given part 2 a 9 so you could make the funny number, Fantano.

I see Westside as an “album director” almost more than a rapper. He doesn’t need to be centre stage all the time and let’s others shine. There’s just no other artist who picks beats and features as well as he does, to the point where he don’t even rap on some tracks but they still definitively feel like Westside Gunn songs.

Side B is one of his best projects along with Pray for Paris and Flygod.

WOW OKAY Seeing that yellow and black hits different when it's Westside Gunn, glad to see it.

His beat selection is phenomenal. I appreciate the soul beat samples. Westside isn't the strongest rapper in Griselda but he's got taste. Westside Gunn is a "gangster" nerd. As a Midwesterner, I appreciate the pro wrestling references.

Side A stays underrated. Probably the most cohesive westside project since PFP or FGIAAG

I love how Westside uses samples that pertain to his situation or past situation. On the song Celine Dion that sample that’s right in the middle of the song says “ That’s right took me a couple minutes longer than I anticipated, What can you expect? I was fighting 2 world champions that night “ I feel this sample could slightly be alluding too the fact he dropped HWH8 right in the middle of Donda and CLB and side B came out a little later, “2 world champions”

This is actually one of the best reviews I’ve ever seen from Melon. I found it fair and well articulated. This is probably my favourite Westside Gunn project thus far. Given his recent interview off Hot 97, he said he’s about to drop yet again this year - and I can hardly wait!

Take the best of both sides and you get a 9/10. Westside is an animal

The moment I hit Rip Bergdorf I knew Side B was going to be one of Gunn's best projects, with everything that's released in the past couple of weeks this is easily what I've been going back to the most.

I can't believe he didn't mention forest lawn, it has literally one of the hardest 2chainz verses ever. Why I do em like that also has such an incredible instrumental, and Westside dips into melancholy and almost regret in a way he never has before. I mean melon for sure mentioned some of the best highlights on side B but those 2 tracks are like top 5 on the album for me.

You still need to review Reasonable Drought, its an incredible album

Idk why West gets knocked for not being on 2 tracks over 30 songs when MF DOOM use to have songs on his albums where he wasn’t on them either

Stove God was the star of this album for me. I foresee westside to start executive producing a lot of albums for guys in this pocket of rap like he did for Mach cause he’s a master of curating a great album. It must also be said; conductor Williams is certified at this point, such a distinct and original style

Giving the first half a 6 is nuts first half is perfect IMO the verses from stove god and boldy was Godbody.

As a wrestling fan, I love the references. Also super bittersweet to see the opener on Side B named after Brodie Lee. Rest In Peace.

So, I think that Side B is objectively better. BUT, I have enjoyed Side A more. Idk what it is, but whenever I see both of these records on my Spotify, I almost always go to Side A.

Say what you want about Westside Gunn but that guy is ALWAYS moving, and has definitely changed the game if you look at Griselda's impact overall the past 3-4 years. I get it if his sound isn't for you, but even outside of performing, he's proven himself to be as good or better as an Executive Producer/"curator" than guys like DJ Drama and Khaled
